In a beautiful spot in the open landscape of the Oldambt in the east of the province of Groningen stands a farmhouse from 1771 of the oldest Oldambster type. The perfect place to discover the Oldambt! It is an unique farm, the only remaining farm of this type in its original form. The farmhouse has been fully restored and two luxury guest houses have been realized in the farmhouse. The Ruiterstok, modern with old details, and the Hude in the old house. The space The Ruiterstok guesthouse is located next to the Hude guest house in front of the farm. The entrance is by the old beach doors in the facade. The name Ruiterstok refers to the huge stack of horseshoe sticks stored in the place where the spacious kitchen is now. Equestrian sticks used to be used on land to put on hay to dry. Guesthouse Ruiterstok has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 adults. The accommodation has a lot of luxury and comfort, from underfloor heating and free Wi-Fi to a bathroom with free-standing bath and rain shower. This guesthouse is wheelchair friendly and has one bedroom with luxury double box spring and a bathroom on the ground floor. The second bedroom with extra large luxury double box spring and a single box spring is located on the first floor. The kitchen is full and has a large cooking island, a large fridge/freezer combination, dual cook oven (with two temperature zones), microwave, Bora induction hob and dishwasher. In addition, there is a coffee maker for filter graling, a Senseo and a kettle. The guest house is non-smoking. You can ask us for accommodation. We do not offer breakfast.
