Description
The Greenwich House is a historic home featuring stunning woodwork, huge windows, leaded glass, and more! Our Guest House was once owned by a prominent citizen, Richard Rahilly, near the turn of the century. It has maintained much of its original charm, but is now coupled with a mid-century modern/ funky aesthetic. This private room is ideally located within blocks of Austin's historic downtown, including the Hormel Historic Home, the Spam Museum, Paramount Theater, and Austin Mayo Clinic. The space This large, 4 bedroom home has been recently updated and restored and is ready for you to enjoy! With ample seating areas--reading nooks, large covered front porch with swing and rockers, patio with 4-person table and umbrella, cozy living room, large dining room table, and cute kitchen bistro table, there's a place for everyone to enjoy! Play a game of checkers, put together one of the many jigsaw puzzles, read a book, cuddle up and watch Netflix, sip coffee on the front porch swing, gather together for a meal on the patio, or simply rest and recharge in your room. We have worked hard to provide a space for you that offers you the getaway you need! Reserve one of four bedrooms in the home, or reserve the entire home! There will soon be a separate listing on Airbnb for the entire home, but in the meantime inquire with us if you are interested in that. Guest access The neighborhood is very walkable and bike-friendly. With close proximity to downtown and one of Austin's most historic and scenic city parks, you'll enjoy getting out and exploring the area. But getting in the car and driving anywhere is easy and parking is never a problem! During your stay This home is just for guests, but we live on the same block, just around the corner. We can be available anytime you need us, and we may just pop over to share a cup of coffee with you on the beautiful, covered front porch! Other things to note We do offer free access to a washer and dryer on site, however we ask that you provide your own soap. We do use the machines to wash and dry guest bedding and towels; If you know you will need it on a certain day or time, please give us advance notice so we can ensure the general guest house laundry is out if your way!
