Welcome to Lake Life Living! Location, Location, Location This was the reason I fell in LOVE with this home. When you step inside the gate you’ll feel like you’re FAR away in a private paradise, but you have everything right at your finger tips plus PRIME waterfront. I welcome you to come Enjoy & Experience Lake Life Living with your Family & Friends. Enjoy the 40’ dock, the lake, my comfortable, relaxed home and everything Lake Cowichan has to offer. Long stays are ideal. PLEASE read all: The space My home is centrally and conveniently located downtown Lake Cowichan while still maintaining the tranquility of waterfront living. The main level is open concept. When you walk in the front door you walk into the Kitchen and Living room, with a view of the water. The master bedroom, with king bed, has a 3 piece ensuite with jetted tub and is conveniently located right off the living room. The living room comfortably seats 8 and has a pull out bed. The French doors off the living room lead out to the back deck; where you'll find a BBQ and then out to the back yard which leads down to the 40 foot dock. The upper floor of the house has 2 large sized bedrooms with queen beds and a 5 piece bathroom plus a secondary family space with a pull out bed. The backyard is private and fully fenced. The covered deck right off the living room looks down to the water, a grand stair case leads you to a huge 20x20 cement pad; perfect for hanging out on; Plus there is a fire pit beside the cement pad. From there a gangway leads to the 40 foot dock. On the dock there is a 10x10 gazebo with a table and chairs plus a picnic table; where you can enjoy your lazy days of Summer! The Cowichan River also has exceptional fishing! You can fish right from the dock. (*always check what the current fishing regulations are) There is lots of room to moor your boat up to 25' or seadoos. The largest boat that can come through the weir is 25 feet. The weir is just 1 minute away and located right next to the boat launch on North Shore road. Right outside the front gate of the house, on the main road, you’ll find: Ed's coffee shop, Jakes at the Lakes Restaurant is just a few doors down; great food and patio looking out at the lake. That is also where the ‘Tube Shack’ is; to rent tubes and go tubing down the river. Mountain Man Ice cream shop is just a couple doors down, a Pizza place, J&V’s is just a bit further down; has great pizza, too. Plus A&W and Subway are just down the street too. You can also find the start of the Trans Canada Trail there as well. Plus a Pharmacy and you will pass the grocery store, liquor store, Cold Beer & Wine and Home Hardware when you come in… The hockey arena is a 3 minute drive up the road. LakeTown Ranch is just a short drive away or it's easy walking distance to the shuttle. Only 15 minutes to Duncan. 1 hour to Victoria or Nanaimo. Come Experience the feel of LAKE LIFE LIVING! Here's to Happy Lake Life Living! * My home sleeps 6 adults comfortably! (plus 2 more) I base my nightly occupancy (in ‘high’ season July & August) on 3 couples sharing; That’s about $90 per person a night. And lower in ‘off’ season. * You will find I do not do ‘check ins’ on Saturday, Sundays & Wednesdays; My calendar only allows you to ‘check in’ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. And I do a 3 night minimum. Any questions PLEASE feel free to message me and ask! Shannon :) Guest access I will send directions and the door code prior to your arrival for easy access into the house. You have access to the whole house, yard and dock. The only SHARED access is the GATE on the driveway that leads onto the property. The guests of my other Airbnb; The Sweet Suite, only have access through the gate to their door; they have no access to the main house, yard or dock. Other things to note I absolutely LOVE this spot on the Lake because it’s so CALM and very sheltered as it’s behind the weir. The weir was built in the 1950’s to provide industrial water storage for the Pulp & Paper Mill in Crofton. The River technically starts at the foot bridge which is further down from my house; where the Duck Pond is (a local park). The weir operates 24/7 so you can always have access into the rest of the 30 km of Lake. Plus the weir is wide open from October to March AND the Boat Launch is right next to the weir located on North Shore Road. The weir is 28 feet in length. A 25’ boat fits just fine. My dock has plenty of space for your boat and/or seadoo. PLEASE click on each individual picture to get more descriptions too! I have a fire pit which is lovely to sit around at night; I do not provide fire wood but there is fire wood available to buy just up the road.
