Farm Cottage 1/2 Mile Outside Jacksonville

Private cottage with fenced yard. 1/2 mile to historic Jacksonville and the famous Britt Festival. Noted local winery Rellik is one property away and we are in the heart of the Rogue Valley wine country. Pool available in the summer and meeting our farm animals is available with advanced notice. Our place is designed to help you create lasting memories! The space PLEASE READ CAREFULLY ** WE ARE A PET FRIENDLY RENTAL- we always clean thoroughly- but please expect to find pet hair in the space!** - King bed in upstairs bedroom and sofa downstairs is a twin sized daybed. You will need to use a staircase to access the bedroom. - Cozy space (just under 400 sqf- about the size of a large hotel room, but spread over 2 floors) - Dedicated, fenced yard for the unit with an inviting front porch and bbq grill. - WE DO NOT HAVE A FULL KITCHEN- microwave, coffee pot & mini fridge- dishes/silverware provided. There is a very tiny amount of counter space and we do NOT have an indoor dining area. Dishwashing happens in the bathroom sink (which is a small bar sink with a strainer). We’d love to host you for a longer stay, but please consider your meal planning carefully to determine whether a small kitchenette will meet your needs. There is nowhere to store a lot of food. What you see in the picture of the kitchenette is exactly what is there and is all that is available for food prep. - No on site laundry facilities - Shower only, no tub - We allow dogs and although we clean thoroughly between guests please expect to find latent dog hair - Like most Airbnbs, this is our home, not a hotel. We do not have a professional cleaning staff or a commercial washing machine. If you require pristine accommodations and/or 24 hour service there are many fine hotels in the area that will be a better fit - We are typically able to respond to questions from guests within 1-3 hours during daylight hours. We often miss messages after 7 PM as we’re putting our kiddo to bed. If you require a host who is immediately reachable 24/7, we won’t be the right fit - We do have WI-FI- BUT IT CAN BE SPOTTY/UNRELIABLE. We are typically available to address WI-FI issues quickly, however, if you are WFH or require absolutely dependable WI-FI during your stay please consider setting up a personal hot spot. Please reach out with questions about our WI-FI prior to booking- we are happy to explain further! - We do not have cable, smart tv only so you can access your personal media accounts. This means we do not have access to local channels either. - First dog stays free, $50 flat fee for a second dog. 2 DOG MAXIMUM. Please do not book without contacting us to let us know and acknowledge the additional fee. Fee will be charged/requested the day after your arrival. - Pool is available June-September and is not heated. Available by appointment only- let us know when you check in what days/times you would like to use it. It’s not a resort quality experience, just our backyard pool. Unfortunately, it’s uncommon for us to be able to open it up on a 1/2 hour notice, so please bear that in mind if you’re as excited about our pool as we are…24 hour notice on pool reservations is appreciated - We love to help create an amazing stay for you so please reach out during your stay if there is anything we can do make your visit more enjoyable (We know this is long, thanks for hanging in there! Guest access Pool is a shared amenity and is subject to availability and only open by appointment. Appointments must be made with 24 hours advance notice. Once you arrive contact the host to see which days/times are available for your pool use. Pool is not heated and will be chilly toward the beginning and end of the season (June & September). This is our family pool and not a resort quality environment. Other things to note Although we are very close to town, we are in a farming community. You will hear all manner of farm animal noises and we cannot control when the animals will vocalize. You may also hear farm equipment as this is a working farm. Our neighbors also run working farms and we cannot control when/if they are operating their farm equipment. Please review the house rules carefully! We do allow dogs, but THEY MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES! We are unfailingly strict upon this point! We always clean thoroughly between guests, but because we allow dogs there will always be latent pet hair. If you have allergies or require a pristine space our place won’t be the best fit.
