Flora, fauna, and nature embrace the space, creating an ambiance of peace and tranquility. The sunsets and moonrises are magical, and on wind-freedays, the sea will take your breath away. Birds sing their music, dolphins cavort in the bay, baboons bark and forage amongst the fynbos. A small glimpse of the magic. SLEEPS 2 The space The Guest suite, consisting of THREE ROOMS (LIVING AREA, ONE BEDROOM, BATHROOM) is a haven from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The open plan kitchenette/dining/lounge opens out onto a patio with views of the sea and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks. The fynbos garden surrounds the patio, allowing for birds to flit between proteas and pincushions and the occasional, shy tortoise to peer out of his shell as he munches on the pelargoniums. The patio is the perfect place to watch pink and orange sunsets with a sundowner in hand. In the evenings, on a clear night, what a privilege it is to sit back, checking out the night sky and the millions of twinkling stars, possibly being lucky enough to spot a meteor falling through the atmosphere or a satellite moving across the dark sky. The open plan living area allows for relaxation and conversation, with the garden being visible from the inside. There is a spacious bedroom featuring a comfortable king-size bed, perfect for a great night's sleep after a busy day exploring the surrounds. If one is feeling lazy, draw back the curtains and check out the sea view and fynbos from the comfort of the bed. There is a working studio situated on the property, outside of the guest suite. The owner is a qualified Tour Guide who is available for tours should the guests be interested. Guest access The Guest Suite, WHICH ONLY SLEEPS TWO GUESTS, has its own entrance, which can be accessed from the parking area by means of a short 3m walk. The suite includes an OPEN PLAN KITCHEN/DINING/LOUNGE that opens onto a veranda, surrounded by a fynbos garden and a view of the ocean. The BEDROOM is home to a KINGSIZE bed. The garden and ocean are also visible from this comfortable room. The bathroom consists of a ball and claw bath and a glass enclosed shower. Other things to note No smoking is allowed. Baboons are very much an integral part of Rooi Els. They are not dangerous but are always looking for an opportunity to gain access to food. Whilst we have taken every possible precaution to ensure the baboons do not gain access, it is vital that guests ALWAYS close the security gates behind them.
