Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. Comfortably renovated accommodation in an old farmhouse. 50 m from the beach and the port of Chatillon in Chindrieux, in Savoie, this cottage is ideally located for family vacations, meeting with friends, or organizing corporate meetings (team building). The space The 165 m2 cottage consists of a large kitchen open to a spacious living room including dining room and living room; a bathroom, toilet and laundry room on the ground floor as well as 4 family bedrooms upstairs, each equipped with a bathroom with private toilet allowing us to accommodate up to 15 people comfortably. Outside, the cottage has a small private terrace of 45 m2 including a table and chairs for dining on the terrace + a barbecue (charcoal). Close to (50 m) Chatillon Beach. Lively place in summer, supervised swimming in high season; small more intimate beach at the end of the pier and for nature lovers, we are a few minutes' walk from small more "wild" corners. You can also stroll around the harbor; enjoy an ice cream "Chez Gust" or take the time to sit on the terrace in one of the two restaurants ("Bar restaurant de la plage" / "Ô Lac") to enjoy a magnificent view of the lake and the mountains. Please note, the house is in a courtyard adjoining other owners. Parties and events are not allowed for the respect and well-being of the neighbors. Other things to note For sports enthusiasts: due to its location, this cottage allows you to practice on site all the water sports offered at Chatillon beach (canoeing, pedal boating, paddle boarding, boating with/without a license, water skiing, diving, snorkeling, swimming lessons). For our part, we offer you the possibility of storing your bikes if needed. By staying in the town of Chindrieux, you can go hiking, hang gliding, paragliding and climbing for panoramic views of Lake Bourget, the Chautagne marsh, the Rhône… Many other hikes are possible in the nearby mountains: Le Grand Colombier, Le Revard, La Dent du Chat… Bike hikes by joining the Via Rhona or by taking advantage of the marked paths in the largest poplar grove in Europe. In winter, the cottage is 45 minutes from the Revard/La Féclaz resorts (Nordic skiing and alpine skiing), 35 km from the Grand Colombier ski resorts, 52 km from the Margériaz Resort (Aillon-le-Jeune) and 70 km from the La Clusaz/Le Grand Bornant resorts… At the cultural level, the hamlet of Chatillon, which is located in the municipality of Chindrieux, is one of the four prehistoric pile-dwelling sites of Lake Bourget listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will find information panels on site and for enthusiasts, you may meet some locals who can tell you a little more... In a little more recent history, our village received a famous guest, Alphonse de Lamartine, whose memory is perpetuated by a statue a few steps from our cottage. We are also located a few minutes from the small town of Chanaz that you can reach by car (5 km), by bike or by going up the Savières Canal (by boat, canoe, paddle…). Visit to the Abbey of Hautecombe (necropolis of the millennial dynasty of the House of Savoy). 20 km from Aix-les-Bains, a spa town and ancient Roman city, 35 km from Chambéry, capital of Savoy and city of the Dukes of Savoy. Possibility to reach these two places by car or train, the route of which allows you to enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Bourget (train station a 5-minute walk from the cottage). 45 minutes from Annecy, famous for its old town with cobblestone streets, winding canals, pastel-colored houses and lake. You can take advantage of your trip to visit Montrottier Castle or thrill at the site of the Gorges du Fier, ranked among the greatest natural wonders of the French Alps. By leaving for the day, you can visit Chamonix and Mont Blanc, Geneva and Lake Geneva, the Echelles caves, spend a day at the amusement park in Walibi and so much more… the must-see sites, breathtaking views and various activities are not lacking in our beautiful region.
