The Old Post Office
Description
"This former post office offers all comforts for a fantastic stay close to nature, on the border with Finland and only 750 km from the North Cape. Fully self-catering or as a Bed & Breakfast, with or without an adventure program. Only here can you go ski touring – personally accompanied by me! Also possible: hiking, canoeing, (ice) fishing in the Tornio river, mountain biking, wildlife spotting, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, husky tours, snowmobile adventures, and visiting Santa Claus." The space You enter through a spacious hallway with storage options like a wardrobe and a clothes rack. The kitchenette is small but fully equipped with a two-burner electric hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, coffee maker and kettle. Everything you need to prepare a meal is provided, including coffee and tea. There’s a foldable dining table for 2 to 4 people, a sofa that easily converts into a double bed, and an extra couch. In a separate sleeping area you’ll find a queen-size bed with a private toilet and sink. And since post offices didn’t usually come with a shower — but I’m sure you’d like one — there’s a shower downstairs in the basement, for private use. Towels are provided. All you have to do is show up. Guest access The described space is for your exclusive use during your stay. You're also welcome to use the garden to sit, relax or enjoy the view. The BBQ is available for your use as well. During your stay Since the post office has an internal door to my living area, I'm almost always directly available. If I’m not around, you can always reach me by phone or text. Other things to note If I’m not there to welcome you in person, the key will be in a hidden spot so you can always get inside. Olle lives here too – my sweet black labrador friend. So if you hear a dog, that’s him. An information folder will be waiting for you inside. You can park your car at the P.
