Val di Codena is a restored 16thc stone farmhouse complex in the Tuscan-Emilian Appenines. Located in 60 private hectares, the property is quiet and isolated with panoramic views of Pietra di Bismantova, rolling hills and ancient forests. Perfect for 2 people to relax in nature. An inspirational place with fresh air, no road or city noise, and modern style and conveniences in an historic setting. The space Andreina has a comfortable bedroom with a double bed (140×190 cm), a bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet. A well-equipped kitchen and living room with fireplace. The private terrace has a lounge and dining area, including gas barbecue. Free Wifi and smart TV with access to standard cable, the internet, Netflix and Amazon Prime. Please kindly note that there is a very steep staircase to access the bedroom. The grounds provide various sunny and shady places to enjoy the loungers. A perfect place to read, write and paint. For those who want a taste of Emilia Romagna and its famous foods including salumi, cheese, wine and balsamic vinegar there are numerous family-run and ‘home’ restaurants within easy driving distance. Recommendations gladly provided. Activites include: A well-equipped communal gym with valley views occupies the former chapel. Doorstep mountain and e-biking and endless walking trails over hills and through forests. A rock climbing mini-mecca on Pietra di Bismantova. Parco Nationale Appennino offers a wide range of activities including canyoning and mountain biking, as well as some more relaxed excursions such as e-bike tours, wild swimming, horseback riding and guided fishing trips. Explore the area by car along a variety of scenic drives. Numerous historic sites and ruins are within a 20 minute drive, many in or near Castelnovo ne Monti.
