The space Step into the charm of Gumnut Cottage Gippsland, a thoughtfully designed 26m² Hamptons-style eco-house that blends sustainability with comfort. The snug king-sized bed is set within a cosy sleeping nook, with approximately 45cm clearance around the edges (please note this may not suit all guests). Lofty pitched ceilings with exposed beams create an airy, open feel. The bedroom is dressed in luxe linens, while the ensuite features an extra-large shower with waterfall head and goat milk soap. Our guest portal allows you to personalise your stay with a range of optional upgrades available to book before or during your visit. Choose from thoughtful extras such as our farmhouse picnic basket, firewood, breakfast basket, romantic room styling, early check-in, late check-out, or a professional farm animal photo session to make your time at Seaton Stays even more memorable. Popular for birthdays, anniversaries, romantic getaways - or perhaps to spoil yourself during a relaxing solo escape. ✨ Outdoors, enjoy the 30m² deck with a dedicated outdoor bar, festoon lighting, and relaxed spaces for dining and unwinding. Thoughtful extras include a picnic basket, rain jackets, board games, and a curated guest book, online and in print, sharing our favourite Central Gippsland experiences. Guest access Gumnut Cottage Gippsland is set on 2.5 acres and surrounded by a growing food forest of annuals, perennials, and over fifty fruit trees, with mountain, valley, and bush views. The property forms part of a small rural acreage community, with neighbouring homes located on adjoining 2.5-acre blocks and visible from parts of the property. As this is a working acreage, guests may occasionally notice light property maintenance such as mowing or tending to gardens and animals. Friendly resident animals, including Babydoll Sheep, Australian Miniature / Pygmy Goats, and Heritage Hens, live on the property. Our residence is located at the rear of the block, while the cottage itself is fully self-contained. Guests have a dedicated carport and simple, contactless self check-in via lockbox. The indoor fireplace (April–September) is available by request for a set fee per bag of firewood. Guests are not permitted to bring their own firewood. Other things to note Gumnut Cottage Gippsland welcomes couples or solo travellers aged 21 and over (younger travellers welcome to send expressions of interest for review). The indoor fireplace use is available by request for use with seasoned hardwood and kindling supplied by us (at additional fee). It must be fully extinguished after use. Nothing is to be placed on or near the fireplace as it gets very hot during use :) To reduce fire risk, candles, open flames, outdoor cooking equipment and personal firewood are not permitted. There is no longer an outdoor fire pit on the property due to an unfortunate prior incident. This property isn’t suitable for parties, events or visitors. Smoking or vaping isn’t permitted indoors (or near gas bottles outside), pets aren’t able to be accommodated. The oven is currently not working whilst awaiting service. The use of drones is not permitted due to the impact on animals and neighbouring properties. Thank you for your understanding.
