Internet ready TVs (Roku) and high speed internet on property ready for zoom meetings or a cozy movie night. Game room with air hockey table. Record player with Bluetooth, so you can listen to our eclectic music selection or connect to listen to your own jams. In winter, enjoy the cast iron wood stove. We provide firewood, starters, instructions, and even a how-to video. We also offer cozy throw blankets year-round so you can cuddle up and be cozy. Hosts are happy to answer any questions and even provide a website with personal recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and hikes. Thorough house manual with area history, and property information/instructions help make you feel more at home. Each bathroom is supplied with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from Ginger Lily Farms (100% vegan & cruelty-free) as well as a hairdryer. We also offer bath salts by each tub, fantastic for soaking tired muscles. GUEST MAXIMUM/GUEST COUNT ACCURACY For the comfort of guests and preservation of the home, we have a maximum count of 8 guests—full stop. We do not allow air mattresses nor additional beds to be brought into the home. We expect our guests to provide an accurate guest count at the time of booking. Should your guest count change before check-in, simply notify Rachel (your host) so she may make the necessary changes to your guest count. DOG INFO Dogs are only allowed on a case-by-case basis for an extra fee and are subjected to extra rules (house-trained only; must be crated when alone; must do "business" outside). We do not allow any other type of pet. Please message hosts for more information. EV CHARGER We are equipped with a ChargePoint Level 2 charging station. As electricity costs in California are some of the highest in the country and fluctuate with the season/time of day, we charge for the amount of electricity used for guest vehicles. (We don’t pay for other guests’ fuel, so we cannot pay for charging.) Current pricing is available on our website and guests will be invoiced via the Airbnb app upon the completion of their stay. This J1772 charger is designed for universal compatibility with all electric vehicles; however, an adapter is required for Telsas (not provided). There are chargers in Oakhurst, Yosemite, and surrounding areas if you prefer to utilize those. WILDFIRE INFO In California wildfires can happen any time, but are most likely from July to November. Smoke can drift for hundreds of miles, depending on wind and other conditions. While wildfires can and do happen in Yosemite National Park, they are usually in an isolated area. Occasionally, Yosemite will close to handle large fires or need complete road access within the park. Fox & Bear Ridge is located south of the park entrance and is accessible, even when the park is closed. We are also equipped with central air, which allows guests to be in the home with filtered air. Wildfires impact us all, but they are an unfortunate seasonal norm for us. As such, refunds due to wildfires will only be given if Fox & Bear Ridge becomes inaccessible due to road closures or area evacuations. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Guest access Guests are provided lockbox access code before arrival. There is ample parking around the house for up to four cars. Other things to note Fox & Bear Ridge is a peaceful and rolling five acres with two homes—Fox House & Bear House. Each home maintains its privacy from the other.
