Hof "Eckens" Gesinde(l) house Marie

Lovingly renovated approx. 70 square meter timbered house in the heart of Waldhessen between Bad Hersfeld and Eisenach in the land of the "White Mountains". Discover Wildeck and the surrounding area. Find quiet places, enjoy countless hiking trails or visit the surrounding cities with events such as the Hersfeld Festival or the Wartburg in Eisenach. The house is located on a 3-sided courtyard between Bad Hersfeld and Eisenach, within 10 minutes of the highway exit. The space A minimum occupancy of 3 nights is ecologically sensible for us. The offer basically includes bed linens, towels, tea towels and soap. We make an effort to set everything up as we would like to find it ourselves. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, coffee pad machine, fridge with freezer. In the second bedroom, we can offer 2 more sleeping options via an expandable sofa bed. The house has central heating and can therefore be occupied all year round without any problems. Our house is a non-smoking house. The particular challenge in these "old" houses is to bring the modern up to date with the old in a tasteful and hygienic way. There is therefore no separate bathroom in the classic sense but a toilet with sink on the ground floor and a shower with sink in the master bedroom upstairs. We ask you to take this into account. Guest access We love animals! There are 3 dogs and 4 cats on our property. Therefore, we provide, especially for our guests with dogs, an approx. 1000 m² fenced outdoor area. Dog waste bags, food and drinking bowls, baskets/pillows and blankets are also available for each four-legged friend. In front of the house, there are seating areas. Other things to note This originally designed house once belonged to my great-grandparents and is therefore also called "Grandma Rie's House". Among the older villagers, it is still known as "Eckens Marie". In the lower and upper corridor area, we were able to expose partially well-preserved murals during the restoration (they were then used instead of wallpaper to beautify the walls). We have tried to combine the old with the new to make your stay with us as nice as possible.
