The Ruby Sea Turtle is a newly renovated Family Friendly 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Home located blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in North Jacksonville Beach. We provide a clean, comfortable, and private beach experience for all of our guests. Sleeping arrangements can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people. So why The Ruby Sea Turtle? Founded in 1884 by the Scull family, Jacksonville Beach was first known as Ruby Beach. William E. and Eleanor Scull were the first family to settle the area, working a post office and general store while living in tents on the beach with their two children, "Ruby" and Bessie. What began as a small, nearly unpopulated, nineteenth-century outpost on the route between Mayport and St. Augustine eventually grew into the thriving and lively Jacksonville Beach we know today. With our love for local history and wildlife, we decided to name the house after a combination of the historical Ruby Beach and the beautiful Sea Turtles that nest along our shores.
