Our old rustic cabin offers you a place to rest & celebrate life with a camping feel on the lake as well as some comforts of home. Built in the early 1900s, the cabin sleeps 4 with kitchen, 3/4 bath, dining-living room with a view of the lake from nearly every room. The bunk house sleeps 3 with 1/2 bath. Boat, fish, swim, grill, sit by the fire & star gaze! **Please provide a photo government ID in order to book. Thank you! The space The Forest Nook is about 1 1/2 hours from NYC, and about half hour to Legoland in Goshen, attractions in Monticello, Bethel Woods, and 15 minutes from hiking trails. The old rustic cabin and bunk house sit on the water's edge offering a spectacular view of the lake, a beautiful night sky for star gazing, a canoe, paddleboat and small row boat, a lakeside fire pit, hammock, large picnic table and a clothesline. The rustic cabin has a fully stocked kitchen with a large window so you always feel a continuous connection with the outdoors even while preparing meals, a washer and clothesline, a 3/4 bathroom, a beautiful view of the lake from the living-dining room area and a bedroom. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed and bedroom 2 has two single beds and a desk with room for a cot sized air mattress. Guests can expect the warmth of a woodstove in the main cabin for cooler days as you enjoy the lake & fall foliage. **This is a seasonal home. The woodstove in the cabin is the only source of heat for the cooler months. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH RUNNING A WOODSTOVE, PLEASE RESERVE A TIME IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.** The bunk house, just a few steps away, also has an incredible lakeview. The closed in porch (bedroom 3) has a single captain's bed, and bedroom 4 has a double bed with a half bath. The bunk house is only available during the summer months. Guest access Cabin, Bunk House, and outdoor space including 3 boats. Other things to note We can only accomodate 4 guests in the fall. This is a seasonal home. The woodstove in the cabin is the only source of heat for the cooler months. If you are not familiar with running a woodstove, please reserve a time in the summer months. The bunk house is not available after mid-September. It does not have hot water nor heat; however, it is only a few steps away from the main house. It can get chilly at night, so bring along some warm clothes. Our property is for Airbnb guests only. Thank you for your cooperation.
