"A home from home"
"A home from home"
Description
A spacious ground floor period apartment with its own entrance. The apartment is conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the train station, beach, harbour and the glorious (and less busy) Tankerton slopes. The flat was renovated to a high standard and makes a great place to unwind for a weekend or a holiday. You will find tea, coffee, log burner and everything else you need to help you relax and make the most of your time away. The space The apartment is part of a converted period terraced house, which was completely renovated to high standards in 2017. You will access the apartment via the street and enter a small and cosy front garden. From here, the front door opens into a long corridor where you can hang your coat, kick off your shoes and get comfy. The corridor, the front room and the bedroom have all been furnished with engineered oak wooden floors. The kitchen and bathroom floors have been tiled in slate. The first room is the front room where you will find a brand new and DEFRA approved log-burner and retro board games (for those cosy rainy days!). The original bay window (over 100 years old!) has been retained in this room, with secondary glazing that is fixed in the winter. You will find a spacious and cosy bench to sit by the window and a sofa. In this room is also a Sony 32 inch smart TV with Netflix and Amazon subscription. Please note that I do not keep a supply of wood for the log burner. The next room is the bedroom. With its soft colours and black out blinds it's very easy to have a lie in! The bed is a king size bed with 100% cotton or linen bedding. You will be able to store your clothing in the chest of drawers and clothes hanger. The bathroom was recently built from scratch and contains a large bath to relax in. The apartment comes with essential toiletries. The kitchen and dining area is the last and my personal favourite room (although some people prefer the cosy front room...!). The floors here and in the bathroom are tiled with natural slate. The area contains a table and four green Eames chairs and is equipped with all modern appliances, including a SMEG electric oven with gas hob, dishwasher and washer/drier. There is also a large fridge-freezer, sink, toaster, kettle and a caffetiere. The apartment also comes with all cooking essentials such as salt, oil, tea, coffee and more - feel free to use all condiments and spices. There is currently NO MICROWAVE. Whitstable has lots of lovely places to get some exceptional food to prepare at home (I will tip you on all the right places) and in this apartment you will find everything you need to let loose in the kitchen. A home from home. A friendly, cosy and spacious place to enjoy a peaceful get away. Please note: The apartment has not been set up with young ones in mind, but children are welcome. Get in touch if you would like to find out more. The sofa is due to be changed! So will be different from pics. Guest access The apartment is accessed from the main road, via a private entrance. Other things to note there is no wood provided with the property but I can advise you on where to get some
