Surrounded by the forests and hills of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, this charming place invites you to disconnect and enjoy simple pleasures. Located 6 km from the Avène-les-Bains spa resort, famous for the benefits of its water, and close to the medieval village of Ceilhes-et-Rocozels, the hamlet is ideally situated for exploring the region. The historic towns of Bédarieux and Lodève are approximately 30 minutes away. The history of Rouvignac dates back to the 12th century. Here, you will discover, among other things, the Saint-Pierre Church, dating from 1135, as well as around ten 18th- and 19th-century houses, carefully restored while preserving their authenticity. Today, the hamlet covers 33 hectares of natural surroundings, offering beautiful areas for walking and enjoying a quiet and unspoiled environment. On site, you can enjoy convivial moments around the barbecue area or gather in the small village square, while the children play in the playground. A simple, warm, and authentic place, ideal for getting together with family or friends, or simply enjoying the tranquility and beauty of nature. 🌿🏡 Other things to note 🎯FOR YOUR CHECK-IN: - Please do not make a booking for a same-day check-in after 12 p.m., unless you contact us in advance to check that the gîte is ready to welcome you. Check-in is flexible thanks to our lockbox. You can check in from 4 PM. For any request for early check-in or late check-out, please don't hesitate to contact us: we will do our best to accommodate you... The keys will be available in the lockbox. The code will be in your check-in information 48 hours in advance. - You can enter "Gîtes de Rouvignac" in Avène in your GPS. If you have any difficulties settling in, you can call me or ring the bell at the gate in the parking lot. BED LINEN 🧺 A basket with linens (sheets, tea towel, bath towel) is provided. Beds not made. Please let us know if there is a third person on the sofa bed, and we will give you the necessary sheets. 🧘🏻PEACEFUL NATURE OF THE PLACE: - Please be discreet for everyone's comfort. The hamlet is a quiet place for reconnecting with nature. Please be respectful of your neighbors, just as everyone should be tolerant of audible sounds within reasonable limits. 🚬CIGARETTES/FIRES: - Please use the ashtrays in front of the cottages. No smoking inside or outside this area. - No fire or candles (fire vigilance is important) except for the barbecue, which must be extinguished with the water available near the common tables after use. Whatever your package, we thank you for leaving the accommodation in a good condition: beds made, refrigerator and sanitary facilities clean, and trash taken out before your departure. 🐕OUTSIDE ANIMALS: Your furry friends are welcome. Our dog Bahia will also be happy to enthusiastically welcome them upon your arrival. They can walk freely in the hamlet if they are used to staying close and if they do not chase our cats, some of which are now venerable seniors who appreciate tranquility. As the hamlet has no car traffic, the environment is quiet and secure for them. We simply ask owners to make sure they pick up their pet's waste to keep the area clean and enjoyable for everyone. 🛝PLAYGROUND: In Rouvignac, we love children very much 😊The hamlet is very quiet and safe, and they can generally play freely. 🩵SWIMMING POOL Access to the property's shared outdoor pool, open seasonally, under the supervision and full responsibility of parents for children. We simply ask that you do not let them go play in the ruins, which can be dangerous. The games in the playground are of course accessible, but remain under the responsibility of adults 🌳 ECODOMAIN: Our hamlet is supplied by our own borehole, which allows us to be self-sufficient in water. This water is natural but rich in calcium. As a precaution, it is therefore not recommended for people with kidney failure. For your convenience, a pack of drinking water is available upon arrival. As we are located in the heart of nature and are self-sufficient in terms of resources, we thank you in advance for ensuring reasonable use of water to avoid any shortages, especially during the dry season. For our cottages we use only organic laundry detergent for the maintenance of sheets and towels. The hand gels, dishwashing liquid, and household cleaning products provided are also organic products, carefully selected for their quality and respect for the environment. Gas and heating are included and provided during your stay. We also thank you for using them responsibly. 🎯PARKING: You have private parking for the hamlet in front of the church. 🚛• Glass bottles and jars should be placed in the dumpster on the road at the bottom of the hamlet. • The yellow garbage can (recycling) and the brown one (mixed waste) are in the bins on the left when arriving by road. • A compost bin is also available near the barbecues. Please do not throw glass in the yellow bins. We are also happy to share our private pool if you would like to take advantage of it 🏊‍♀️ Just please stay vigilant, especially with children.
