You are renting the main house (110 m²) of the former farmhouse, which is very spacious, with two large bedrooms, a large, fully equipped kitchen (approx. 25 m²), a living room with a sofa bed, two parking spaces, and a large south-facing courtyard with a terrace. Natural swimming pool (15 x 10 m) The farm is situated in a secluded location in a valley, just 1 km from Lake Puydarrieux. Lake Castelnau-Magnoac (swimming possible) is 8 km away. Internet access is available in every room. The space The former farmhouse contains two apartments, both rented out as gîtes. The apartment offered here is in the main house, facing south. Each gîte offers complete privacy. This particular gîte includes a south-facing terrace with garden furniture and a parasol, two parking spaces, and even an electric car charging point. The house has four very large, bright rooms: two bedrooms, a large bathroom with a shower, toilet, and bidet, and a very large, fully equipped kitchen with a four-burner gas stove, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a large dining table with six chairs. The house is built of clay, meaning it stays pleasantly cool in the summer with proper ventilation. Upstairs are the two large bedrooms, each with a double bed (140x190 cm) and a single bed (90x190 cm), a desk with a chair, a wardrobe, and a bedside table. Downstairs, on the left is the large kitchen, and on the right is a living room with a sofa bed, a single bed, a desk, armchairs, and a coffee table. This room can be used as an additional bedroom. The house has been largely renovated using environmentally friendly methods, with excellent insulation and clay-plastered walls. The property has not been chemically treated for over 20 years and boasts a rich diversity of flora and fauna. There is a shared natural swimming pool on the property. A few words about it: 50% of guests are thrilled and use it daily, while the other 50% aren't so keen because the water is green in the summer, but it's lovely nonetheless. It is continuously filtered by a separate filter trench with aquatic plants. Due to its depth of 1.70 meters, the swimming pond is not suitable for children who cannot swim! Guest access You have the right half of the house to yourselves. There is a south-facing terrace overlooking the property, with a garden table, parasol, and chairs. Two parking spaces are available. If you are traveling as a group of families, the second gîte on the left can also be rented. A few words about the natural swimming pool: 50% of guests are thrilled, 50% turn up their noses. The water is green in the summer, but lovely. It is continuously filtered in a separate filter trench with aquatic plants. Due to its depth of 1.70 m, the swimming pond is not suitable for children who cannot swim! Other things to note Sustainability, decarbonizing our lives, and organic farming are our core values! We live on and from the farm. We generate electricity for six households, our hot water is solar-heated, waste separation is standard practice, and we use energy-efficient appliances and LED lighting throughout. We refill shampoo, shower gel, and dish soap, and clean the apartments with eco-friendly cleaning products. We also wash our laundry with products from the organic cooperative. You can charge your e-bikes and car here (no wallbox). Motorcycles and bicycles can be safely stored in a large barn.
