Casalina is a comfortable and bright two-room apartment on the first floor of a recently renovated house located in Polaggia, a small historic-rural village 450 meters away on the Soliva side of Media Valtellina between Sondrio and Morbegno. Here you will find a hospitable and family atmosphere, ideal for couples and families with children where you can relax after a trip to the mountains, a bike ride or a nice ski run and… take a dip in the pool. The space We are located in a quiet private street and have ample parking suitable for 2 cars. The two-room apartment is thermally independent, heated by a methane boiler. In the living room, you can also use a beautiful wood stove in front of which to sip a good glass of Nebbiolo delle Alpi. The living room with terrace is equipped with a semi-new kitchen with everything you need to cook: dishes and basic food (pasta, oil, salt, sugar, coffee), microwave, kettle and coffee machine. There is a sofa that quickly becomes a comfortable double bed. Also available are: a 32" LED TV with DVB reception and Wi-Fi network. The bedroom, spacious and bright, has a French bed with orthopedic mattress, a single bed and large wardrobes. The bathroom has a bathtub with shower, hairdryer, washing machine, additional electric air conditioning, first aid kit and hygiene kit. In the hallway you will find an iron and ironing board, clothes hanger and everything you need for cleaning. The apartment has a garden with swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, Weber 57” BBQ and gazebo with side walls that can only be used from June to September for non-exclusive use and with a surcharge. We are happy to set up spaces for the little ones with a high chair, camping cot or crib and we can also lend you a stroller and 2 trekking backpacks for free. We offer indoor and guarded spaces for bikes, skis and other sports equipment. Guest access We're a stone's throw from everything! Ten minutes from Sondrio and ten minutes from Morbegno (does Morbegno in Cantina or Fiera del Bitto ring a bell?). A stone's throw from the beautiful Val di Mello and Valmalenco, home to high mountain and alpine skiing enthusiasts. Half an hour from Teglio, the cultural and food and wine heart of Valtellina and from Tirano, the departure of the Bernina Express, a UNESCO heritage site. And then terraced vineyards, wineries, restaurants, small villages to discover: just leave the house on foot or by bike and take one of the quiet coastal paths such as the Via dei Terrazzamenti or the Valtellina Trail, the valley floor cycle path that connects Colico on Lake Como to Bormio. Other things to note We are a couple from Valtellina doc with two children and we live in the same building. We love our Valley and we love to tell its story.
