Nestled in the quiet rolling hills of Holmes County Kermit's Cottage is hidden back in a private lane and surrounded by peace and serenity with trees and wildlife all around. Sit on the front porch and enjoy watching Kermit's cattle grazing in the pasture below. This 3 bedroom whole home is conveniently located three miles from Millersburg which is the county seat and the gateway to the largest Amish settlement in United States. Enjoy the entire home to yourself. The home has a large front porch with a propane grill and a fire ring out front. Sit and enjoy the quiet evenings and fresh mornings outside. There is a 6 person hot tub in the back of the home. The kitchen and living area is an open design with a large area for entertainment. We do provide WiFi but being in the country it can be spotty at times and unreliable so we can’t guarantee it will always be working or what speeds it will perform at. Upstairs there is a loft area to play games and lounge. The Master bath has a whirlpool to relax in and a large walk in closet to unpack and feel at home. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer if you need to wash clothes. Please contact my Co Host Stacie first with any questions. Matt is available if you can't get ahold of Stacie The house is down a country road and back in a private lane that can't be seen from the road. Very quiet setting away from the hustle of life. There is a primitive campground on the same farm but the house is away from that. There is a golden retriever that is the farm dog, her name is Kyra and she sometimes stops in to say hi. We ask that you don’t allow her in the house. She has a warm shop with a comfy bed that she goes into when she wants. We have guests that have allergies when it comes to animals in the home and we ask that you are respectful of that. Kyra loves laying on the porch even in the winter at times. When she is cold she goes up to her warm bed. Please don’t ruin that for her by making it so she can’t come down to the porch anymore, which is what will have to happen if she is let in the house. We do have a camera on the driveway side of the house and a ring doorbell simply for verification of when guests arrive and the number of guests that check in. We ask that you are accurate on the amounts of guests including children over 12 years old. I you end up bringing more guests then you reserved for we ask that you update the reservation so it is correct or it may be deducted from your 200.00 deposit. We have a woodstove in the house which the guest can use if they request it. We only allow the wood ECO Bricks to be burnt in the stove. We have them available for purchase for 8.00 a bundle . These can also be burnt in the fire ring outside. If you want a fire just ask Matt or Stacie The cattle are nice to look at but do not try to pet them. They are large and could hurt you. The fence is electric so don’t touch it, it will hurt. Plenty of parking onsite. During winter season 4x4 will be necessary. Stay to the left when you come in the drive and follow the lane over the hill. The fence will be on your left. (there is a sign that says campground that way the campground turns to the next sharp left) Continue straight past the campground turn and you will see the house straight ahead. We ask that you are honest in count of the number of guests that will be staying the night. If we see more people than the number paid for we will adjust the price to the amount of guests seen present on camera when arriving. If you have more people joining your group we ask that you add them to your reservation. We do not allow parties at the house. Visitors are ok within reason but if it causes extra cleaning or damage it will be taken from the 200.00 deposit. The hot tub will cool down quicker if you run the jets the whole time. It only heats when the jets are off. Make sure the lid is closed when you are not using it. Do not get off the pavers and get into the tub. Make sure you keep your feet clean. If the tub requires heavy cleaning there will be a 100.00 charge added to your bill. Do not adjust the temperature. It will heat back up when the cover is closed.
