Dark skies, brilliant stars, hiking out the door, wildlife and tranquility—there’s no better location. Just over 1 mile from Lucas Valley Road, up a curvy paved road—we have a spacious home with two guest units—with their own entrances. Outdoor spa area: hot tub, outdoor shower, cold plunge & sauna. Sauna usage with electrical usage fee. Incredible deck views. Please note that the studio is part of the main house--there may be ambient noise. The space Gorgeous views, lovely space…studio with mini fridge and microwave. Private deck with breathtaking views. Our place is in Marin (Nicasio) and up a beautiful one mile drive through a mostly paved road—some love the drive, as it’s twisty and so we recommend coming during the day if this is an issue. Although we are not far from civilization, it feels very remote and amazingly beautiful. Not that far, but once you come you may want not to leave... Pets are welcome! We have a large fenced area ideal for pet play. Please do not let animals off leash at night as it could be dangerous for them. The cleaning fee for pets is $45 for the first pet, and $30 per additional pet per stay. We have created a spa area on our property, which includes a hot tub, sauna and cold plunge. For an extra $30 charge per day (electrical usage and cleaning), per person you may be able to use the sauna and cold plunge. Please inquire. We do not charge for the hot tub. We are frequently traveling, and often out during the day. The unit is below one piece of the main house. Please note you may hear ambient noise occasionally and in the winter, chirping frogs. In a separate entrance is a 2nd guest unit. The room is ideal for two, but for a small charge we can bring in a roll away bed and extra linens for a child, or extra person, or if you need two beds. Please ask ahead of time. Guest access Hot tub, outdoor shower, decks. Other things to note This is a spacious studio with a microwave, mini-frig, electric kettle but no kitchen. There’s an incredible deck with outdoor seating. Private entrance and deck. We have a motion sensor light when coming to the unit. Otherwise we provide flashlights and it will be dark. New Casper memory foam mattress. New privately controlled mini-split for heat and AC. Best of the place: star gazing at night from the hot tub, or watching hawks circle the grounds at eye level. Please note that during the winter the pound on our property is a sanctuary for frogs. They will sing at night, sometimes loudly. We love this. And hope you do as well. It may be a very unique experience as frogs are sadly becoming extinct. We have well water that is exceptionally good to drink. It’s first softened, run thru a charcoal filter to remove any impurities and then thru a UV light. And, it tastes delicious. Please take short showers and conserve as best you can. Hot tub kept at 104 degrees—please enjoy up till 10pm. If you wish to use the cold plunge and sauna, please inquire. This guest space has it’s own entrance, but is connected to the main house. Please note that we tend to be quiet, but you may hear ambient noise. We have serenity but not silence. Pets are welcome!
