Our vacation home is particularly suitable for family gatherings of any kind, for hiking groups, motorcyclists or joint vacations with friends. The cottage is very bright, flooded with light and spacious. There are beautiful sunrises and sunsets here. It has a full basement. The space The entire basement area, where there is a summer kitchen, a shower, a sauna and a recreation and relaxation room, is completely tiled. On the ground floor (approx. 90 sqm) there is the entrance area, the guest toilet, the fully equipped kitchen, as well as the living and dining area and, adjacent to it, the fireplace room. The ground floor area is also completely tiled and has underfloor heating. Through the living and dining area or through the fireplace room, you can access the large garden (approx. 1000 m²), which invites you to relax. The terrace is partly covered. An outdoor fireplace creates a lovely ambiance in the evening. Barbecuing is also possible. On the next floor in the house are three cozily furnished double rooms. All rooms have laminate or vinyl floors. The beds, some of which are box spring beds, have high-end mattresses. Pillows are sufficiently available. Each room has a flat-screen TV. Extra beds are also possible on request. Each room has its own balcony with outdoor furniture. A spacious bathroom (20 sqm) with toilet, shower, bathtub and sink is also located on the floor. In addition to a wall radiator, it has underfloor heating. Charging is free for all guests with an electric car during their stay. Our vacation home is a low-energy house. It has a solar system and a heat pump. All guests are welcome here. Get out, take a deep breath, recharge. Our vacation home at the Grünen is located in Waldfisch, an idyllic district of Bad Salzungen, in the middle of the Thuringian Forest. Surrounded by meadows, forests and a charming low mountain landscape, Weit Waldfisch is the ideal starting point for relaxation, nature experiences and varied excursions. The small village invites you to take a leisurely stroll, where historic buildings and the peaceful atmosphere invite you to linger. From here, hikers, cyclists, motorcyclists and nature lovers can reach numerous attractive tour destinations. History buffs should not miss a visit to the Wartburg in Eisenach. As one of the most famous castles in Germany, it impresses with its moving history, its art treasures, and its unique view. Here you will encounter the traces of Martin Luther, Johann Sebastian Bach and Saint Elisabeth. A special nature experience awaits you in the Drachenschlucht near Eisenach. Between high rock faces, the path leads along a small stream through a fascinating gorge - an excursion that young and old will remember for a long time. The Rennsteig, Germany's most famous high-altitude hiking trail, also delights numerous visitors every year. Whether on foot or by bike, the landscape with its impressive flora and fauna invites you to explore in any season. Those looking for relaxation will find numerous lakes and outdoor swimming pools in the surrounding area, which invite you to swim and relax on warm summer days. The spa towns of Bad Salzungen and Bad Liebenstein also offer many other leisure activities. Visit the Gradierwerk and the Sohleerlebnisbad in Bad Salzungen or enjoy the special atmosphere of Bad Liebenstein with its cozy cafes, restaurants and taverns. The spacious Altenstein landscape park with its historic castle is a real highlight. The English-style park is one of the most beautiful in Germany and invites you to take long walks among giant old trees, romantic paths, and magnificent viewpoints. The Altenstein Cave is particularly worth seeing. It can be visited today as part of guided tours and offers fascinating insights into the underground world. Other popular destinations include the planetarium in Bad Salzungen, the Merkers Adventure Mine with its impressive underground halls, and numerous leisure activities such as mini golf, cultural events, and cozy beer gardens and restaurants in the region. Families also get their money's worth: playgrounds, animal enclosures, outdoor swimming pools and many easily accessible hiking trails ensure varied vacation days. Waldfisch also has an hourly bus service to Bad Salzungen, Bad Liebenstein and Eisenach, so many excursion destinations are also easily accessible without a car.
