All entrances are private and the grand upstairs deck belongs solely to the upstairs house guests. Enjoy the view of gorgeous sunrises, frolicking dolphins and the ever-changing waves, water, and sky as you relax in this perfect location steps from the beach and a close 5 minute drive into the ancient city of St Augustine. Enjoy a direct oceanfront experience! This upper-level beach house provides everything you will need for a relaxing beach vacation. A 30 foot wall of sliding glass doors open out from the living area onto your elevated private deck on the oceanfront. The house is just a 5 minute drive from downtown historic St. Augustine and gives you the best of both worlds, the ability to explore the ancient and historic downtown of our nations oldest city and a stellar beach vacation where you can put your toes in the sand. Guests are able to access the entire upper level house and two paved parking spaces. They can also accesss the beach via a path through the yard and steps that lead over the dune. The lower level apartments and the garage are not accessible. The owners are local and available to assist guests in the event of an immediate need or question. The beach house is located in Vilano Beach just minutes from the Vilano Main Street area. There is a Publix, (the local grocery store) and the shops and restaurants a short drive or bike ride away. You don't even have to leave the island! The house is also 5 to 10 minutes from historic St. Augustine and it's many adventurous attractions and great restaurants and pubs. Vilano Beach itself was the original site for the beachgoers from Henry Flagler's Hotel. There was an old casino on the beach that hosted 5 course dinners, horse races, dances and more for the guests of Henry Flagler's hotels. The house is located within a 5 to 10 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine. The local trolleys are popular and informative modes of transportation in town. Uber and Lyft are available in town but are occasionally inconsistent. There are several Taxi services in town. There are also a number of electric golf cart services. We like- Explore Tours & Pickups. There are also Pedicab and Horse drawn carriages in the old town area for some big fun. The couch in the living room is a pull-out for sleeping 2 guests.
