Description
Welcome to Le Perchoir, a very nice house in the heart of the old town, close to the majestic arenas and all the shops (bakery, supermarkets, restaurants...) This house will be your cocoon during your stay in Arles, with its two bedrooms and two bathrooms. On the second and top floor, an air-conditioned open kitchen with an outdoor space created to enjoy the Arlesian sweetness. The decoration and layout make it one of our favorites, we love it! Guest access Parking / Car Access: The house is not accessible by car. However, when you arrive (if you arrive during our opening hours), we have the possibility to let you pass the terminal with our access card to come as close as possible to the house. The closest parking is on Bd Emile Combes, but free only at night (from 7pm to 9am), otherwise it's €1/h. To park for free nearby, there is Rue de l'Aqueduc Romain or the Chabourlet area: follow the directions in our guide Other things to note Welcome to Arles, a city with countless Roman monuments, located at the intersection of ° the Camargue in the South and its unique biotope (marshes, refuge for birds of all kinds, including flamingos, but also the Bious, Camargue bulls or Camargue horses, specific to this region with their characteristic white coat) ° The Alpilles to the north, a magnificent chain of small mountains covered with olive groves where you will find one cuter village than the next (Les Baux-de-Provence, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Maussane, Paradou...) ° La Crau, the largest steppe in Europe, a sheep-farming land made famous by the quality of its Arles Merino wool And I'm only talking about places within a 15-minute drive, let's not forget the Luberon or the Calanques of Marseille, accessible within an hour's drive. However, without mentioning these magnificent assets, the city itself is incredibly rich. Its narrow streets with flowery facades, its quays along the Rhône but above all a crazy density of ancient/medieval monuments to visit (Arenas, Ancient Theatre, Ancient Roman Baths, Roman Necropolis, Medieval Cloister...) within a 15-minute walk. But also an incredible cultural offering with no less than 4 public museums (Arlatan, Arles Antique, Réattu, Camargue), a private museum (Van Gogh Foundation), a contemporary art foundation (Lee Ufan) and the Luma Foundation Workshop Park with its many exhibition spaces. Something to fill your days! And even more to enjoy the terraces offered by the many squares of the city, the best known being Place Voltaire, Place du Forum or Place Paul Doumer and then indulge in one of the many restaurants in the city. The gastronomic offer is varied and of quality! As you can see, Arles is clearly not made to be visited in two days, you have to take the time to do everything, and since everything is done with relaxation and gentleness, it encourages you even more not to rush. It is also a great central point for visiting the surroundings (Avignon 30 min to the north, Les Saintes Marie de la Mer 30 min to the south, Nimes 20 min to the west, Marseille 1 hour to the east). Why not make it your unique place of accommodation to do all of Provence/Camargue/Luberon? Registration Details 1300400132115
