Cabin in Norfolk

Bishy Barnabees is our 1 bedroom lodge, with 1 spacious Double bedroom and an additional Double sofa bed in the lounge. Our warm and cosy lodge is kitted out with mod cons, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We are situated in the small hamlet of Drymere, amidst the beautiful Thetford Forest, in the heart of Breckland, ideal for country walks, birdwatching and cycling, and perfectly placed for exploring the wonders of Norfolk. (our local is just a 40 min amble through the woods). The space We have a modern kitchen, featuring double oven, large fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave with plenty of equipment for most catering needs. The comfortable lounge area features a log burning stove, double sofa - bed and a love seat. we have a smart tv with Freesat and 4g internet access. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and ample storage with hangers. you will also find a vanity mirror and hairdryer for your personal use. The bathroom has a large shower enclosure. Towels and toiletries are included. We have ample outside seating opportunities, both in front and at the rear of the property, so the views and sunshine can be caught most of the day. we also provide a bbq . The garden is fully enclosed for the security of small, well behaved Pets. We have a large Private off road car park with concrete path to the Lodge. Guest access Drymere is a small rural Hamlet of just 14 properties, and pastures, within an area of SSI, surrounded by woodland ,which is teaming with wildlife including various species of Deer and birdlife. we have direct access to the woods and off road treks to Swaffham, and surrounding areas and villages, which can be easily done by foot or bicycle. Other things to note Bishy Barnabees country lodge is located within our 5 acres of pastures. we have on site, a small allotment, goats, ducks and chickens and five horses, which you can see being exercised on a daily basis. We like to encourage birdlife into the garden and are lucky to have regular visits from goldfinch, chaffinch, greenfinch, siskins, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, nuthatch, and wrens to name but a few. you will also see buzzards, Kestrels, and the occasional red kite above, and hear a cuckoo or woodpecker in the adjacent wood. For all you bird watchers, a visit from Mid Oct. to March is ideal for seeing the migrating Swans at Welney Wash, just 35 mins. drive from the Lodge. If you are Golfers, we are just a 5 min. drive from the lovely course at Swaffham, where, if you speak to Mick, he may be able to arrange some preferential deals.
