Pet Friendly Farmhouse in Kingston Springs

Deep Roots Retreat is a historic farmhouse in Kingston Springs with a porch swing, a firepit, and a good cup of coffee waiting for you. It’s a place to slow down for a couple of days, bring your people, and breathe a little deeper. Originally a 1900 schoolhouse, the house has been lovingly restored with pieces of our family history woven in, while still giving you the comfort you expect when you travel. The space Deep Roots Retreat is more than a place to stay. It is part of our family's story. Originally a two room schoolhouse, the home was transformed by my Granddaddy, who built the walls, custom cabinets, and shelving by hand. The original hardwood floors remain as a tribute to the earliest footprint of the school. My Granny welcomed everyone through these doors with open arms and a plate of food, especially her homemade biscuits. Her biscuit cutters still hang in the kitchen as a small tribute to the love and hospitality she poured into this home. This house has been lived in, celebrated in, cried in, grieved in, and most importantly, loved. The home comfortably sleeps up to six guests with: • Two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed • A sunroom with two chaise lounges that create two twin sleeping spaces • A full laundry room with everything you need during your stay Start your mornings with coffee on the porch while listening to birds sing and watching hummingbirds gather at the feeders. The home is heated and cooled with a combination of window units, gas heat, and a fireplace, along with a gas unit in the sunroom. • To preserve the custom cabinets my Granddaddy built, we chose not to install a dishwasher. • The sunroom includes a TV with cable access. • DoorDash and Uber Eats are available.
