From Hude

In a beautiful spot in the open landscape of the Oldambt in the east of the province of Groningen, there is a farm from 1771 of the oldest Oldambster type. The perfect place to discover the Oldambt! It is a unique farm, the only remaining farm of this type in its original form. The farm has been completely restored and two luxury guest houses have been built: the Hude in the original living area, and a second new house called Ruiterstok. The space Guesthouse Hude is located in the old living area of the farm. Hude refers to a hidden storage place for valuable items, in this case not visible because the door was hung just like the rest of the wall. According to the Groninger dictionary of K. ter Laan from 1929, it was also said: "I have nòg n udertje" or "hai zel nog wel n udertje achter het linnen hebben" which meant that someone still had some money on hand. Guesthouse Hude is a wonderful place suitable for up to 2 adults. There is a cozy living room with TV, and a very luxurious bathroom with free-standing bathtub and rain shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a large fridge/freezer combination, dual cook oven (with two temperature zones), microwave, Bora induction hob and dishwasher. In addition, there is a coffee maker for filter grinding, a Senseo and a kettle. The bedroom with extra large luxury double box spring is located in the richly decorated upstairs room, accessible via a short staircase. It is also a real treat for children, as there are three real old bedsteads for them to sleep in. The beds are divided between the bedroom and living room and are suitable for smaller children (the length of the beds is 1.59, 1.65 and 1.72 meters). The accommodation has a lot of luxury and comfort, such as floor heating and free WiFi. The guest house is non-smoking. You can come to us for accommodation. We don't offer breakfast. Guest access The house is fully accessible to guests, with a private entrance and private terrace. There is ample parking in the backyard. Enjoy the large garden with an orchard, field edge and picnic tables for shared use.
