We offer you our magnificent 10-person gite, with large garden and natural swimming pool, perfect for group vacations or family celebrations. The building dates back to the 17th century and was completely renovated in 2022. It is located in the charming country village of Solre St Gery, a 10-minute drive from the Eau d'Heure lakes and the Val Joly water sports complex. Plenty of walks in the surrounding area, including the Avesnois Natural Park and the Chimay forest. The space GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The cottage is located in a former 17th-century farmhouse (1617) in Solre St Gery, a pretty stone village in the Hainaut region (15 km from the Eau d'Heure lakes, 15 km from Val Joly, 15 km from the Etangs de Virelles and 20 km from Chimay). The farm has a large plot of land at the rear (1 hectare), a beautiful garden designed for relaxation and a natural swimming pool (unheated) surrounded by a wooden terrace. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful and the environment is mainly rural and agricultural (cow pastures). The farmhouse was completely renovated in 2022, with priority given to respecting the history of the building and using eco-friendly materials where possible (eco-friendly insulation and clay plaster) while offering maximum modern comfort.
