Create Memories at The WildWoods! Situated on over 1.5 acres of wild woods and over 200 ft of waterfront with a natural sand beach, our secluded cottage is the perfect getaway! Escape from city life to this cozy lakeside retreat. Steps to the lake, this charming cabin is the perfect spot to take in everything that cottage life has to offer. Enjoy your morning coffee on the dock, go for a refreshing swim, get adventurous with water sports, and roast marshmallows over the open fire. The space Enjoy sun all day on the northwest facing large dock or relax in the shade on one of the hammocks. This is a truly charming cottage with everything you need for an amazing getaway. You will have access to the entire property and it's just under 3-hours from Toronto. What to Know Before You Book: To ensure our cottage is the right fit for your stay, please read the following carefully: 1. Road Access & Parking: The cottage is reached via a 2.3 km secondary road that is one-lane, bumpy, and curvy — be sure to drive slowly (about 25 km/h) and watch for wildlife and oncoming traffic. The driveway is steep and curvy; guests may park at the top and take a set of stone steps down to the cottage if preferred. 2. Internet-Free Escape: There is no internet at the cottage. If staying connected is important during your visit, this may not be the best fit. That said, we think you’ll enjoy the chance to truly unplug! 3. Bring Your Own Linens: We provide pillows, duvet covers, and extra blankets, but please bring your own bed sheets, pillowcases, and towels (kitchen, bathroom, beach). 4. Drinking Water: The cottage water is unfiltered and not suitable for drinking. Please bring your own drinking water. 5. Open Layout: In keeping with the cozy and open design of the cottage, two bedrooms and the bathroom have ¾-height walls. While they provide visual separation, they do not offer full soundproofing or complete privacy. 6. Waiver Form Required: All guests over 18 will need to sign a standard waiver form prior to arrival, acknowledging the risks of water activities like canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming etc. Small Children & Pet Friendly: This cottage getaway is great for families with small children, or small groups of friends. Friendly and house-trained pets are welcome. If you would like to bring your pet please speak to us first. The Lake: This is what it's all about! Head down to the large dock (recently purchased!) to enjoy a multitude of activities on the lake. You can jump in with 10'+ water depth right off the end of the dock. 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, and 1 canoe all included for your enjoyment! Enjoy the long lake view and watch spectacular sunsets or lie down on the dock and gaze up at the stars. Great fishing right off the dock – we’ve caught pike, small mouth bass, pickerel, sunfish, bluegill and rock bass. We have a private natural flat and sandy bottom beach perfect for the little ones to enjoy. There is lots of clear and flat land where you can gather to enjoy croquet or bocce ball, hide and seek or other activities. Screened in Porch: The screen in porch is our favorite spot in the cottage! With amazing views of the lake and plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy meals or play a game. The patio sectional is the perfect spot to read a book or listen to a late-night thunderstorm. Kitchen: The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials to make any meal and you won't miss out on the action with an open concept living/dining/kitchen space with lake views. If you're in the mood to grill up some burgers there is a propane Weber BBQ ready to go right outside. Includes a full size fridge and stove, microwave and coffee maker (no dishwasher). Living Room: With a big couch to fit everyone, you can enjoy a movie after a long day on the lake with access to TV and a fun catalog of DVDs. Fire up the wood stove that will keep you warm on cooler nights. Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms: one with a queen bed and one with a single over double bunk bed (perfect for the kids!). For additional sleeping, there’s a futon in the back room. Bathroom: There is one comfortably sized 3-piece bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. Parking: There is plenty of space for parking on the upper level of the property.
