Experience the countryside life in a peaceful environment. A spacious room with a private bathroom in a charming garden cottage surrounded by lush greenery. The property features a large backyard with bamboo huts, ponds, longan trees and vegetable garden where you can stroll peacefully, observe the farmers working in the fields and soak up the calming sounds of nature. The space The room is about 30 square meters with air conditioning, king size bed, dining area, mini fridge and private bathroom. There is a shared patio at the entrance to the room. Car and motorbike parking is available for guests. Guest access Guests have full access to the backyard to explore and relax. During your stay We live in the family house next door, so feel free to say hello! You might also meet other guests staying here. Other things to note Take the bus from Chiang Mai bus station to Chiang Dao (about a 1-2 hour ride) or grab a “Grab” taxi directly to the accommodation. However, having your own transport is highly recommended since taxis, tuk-tuks, and Grabs are very rare here, making it hard to get around. Taxi services are available on request. We offer scooter rentals (300 THB/day) and bicycles (150 THB/day). If you enjoy walking, the neighborhood has small shops selling snacks, drinks, and local food. A 25-minute walk will take you to the nearest 7/11 in town. Every Friday afternoon (around 4-5 pm), there’s a market called Talad Ju just a 5-minute walk from here, where you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, spices, Thai desserts, and plenty of ready-to-eat dishes. Chiang Dao has many attractions nearby such as Chiang Dao Cave and The Giant Tree Alley (10-minute drive), Sri Sungwan Waterfall (30-minute drive), and Hot Springs (15 minutes). It also boasts many beautiful cafés — perfect spots to chill and relax. Chiang Dao is a must-visit if you’re heading to Fang, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Pai, or simply want a peaceful getaway away from the city buzz.
