Other things to note Staying with us is a form of simple, self check-in/out. To access the host app and generate a code for the Smartbox (safety deposit box) and all information related to your arrival and stay, we require biometric verification (you can cover your birth number). This includes scanning or sending a double-sided copy of your ID card/passport, permanent residence, and selfie photo (current face photo). In addition, it is also necessary to pay the city (tourist) tax. For the city of Kosice, it is 3.5€/person/night. As an accommodation facility, we are legally required to keep records of paid local fees for accommodation tax and guest data in the accommodation book. We process personal information solely for the purpose of managing our accommodation facilities. Due to the fact that our apartments do not have a permanent reception like hotels where these data would be collected and registered in person at the reception, this is done through biometric verification when you register at our online reception. Your information remains only with us, is not sent anywhere further away, and is registered only in case of review by the competent authorities. It's also important to emphasize that key exchange is contactless, so this verification is also used to identify the person who will be staying in the apartment for damage or theft.
