Description
This sweet little cottage is nestled amongst trees in the back yard of the main house and is definitely full of character. We were told the outbuilding started out as a chicken coop and, over time, it morphed into a people coop. If you’re looking for perfection you will not find it here. What you will find is a comfy little place with a feeling of being in the woods. The space The Coop has two small bedrooms at the entryway level. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, and the second bedroom has a queen-size. The living room has a large window that looks out at a small area of woods. If you’re lucky, you might see deer, or a fox walk by. The large leather sectional has a hide-a-bed. There is a full kitchen with a dining table in the middle. The full kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee maker, toaster oven, crockpots, blender, etc. If there is something extra that is needed please ask. There is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Guests may enjoy the backyard. There is a fire pit that can be used with prior consent. There is porch swing, a patio area, and outdoor seating to enjoy the during the beautiful Palouse days. Dogs are allowed with no additional fee but please let us know. We trust that guests know their dog(s) best and understand how the dog(s) will behave in a new space. Pets must always be picked up after and kept out of the garden beds. Downsides to the Coop: Stairs outside and inside. No dishwasher. Low ceilings. Some sloping floors. Not childproofed. There is a TV with a DVD player and a few DVDs. The TV does not have any other streaming devices, but you can bring your own. For stays longer than one week: Please note that there will be a cleaning fee of $250 accessed for stays longer than one week. There are basic supplies for guests to start with but for longer stays it is expected that guests purchase their own supplies. There may be available days that are not shown on the calendar. Please feel free to message me about other dates but not further out than 3 months. Guest access Self-check-in by use of a key in lock box. There is one parking space in the driveway and plenty of street parking. The cottage is accessed by going down a long set of brick/railroad tie steps. The backyard is available for guests to use. The yard is fenced in but will not keep curious dogs from escaping. Other things to note For those that have electric vehicles, we do have an EV charging station that can be used with prior consent.
