Between the Nürburgring and the Moselle wine region: The old half-timbered house is at least 200 years old, but completely renovated in 2023 and is looking forward to finally being inhabited again. The charm, the style, the equipment - everything has been restored as it was originally, but WITH a modern bathroom and kitchen and TV with Disney+ and Prime Video AND: infrared cabin. Ulmen is an ideal starting point for hiking and mountain biking. The space A little trip back in time paired with the highest level of comfort. Quarry stones, half-timbered walls with clay, wooden windows - everything is like it was 200 years ago - but with a modern bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. On the patio in the courtyard you can enjoy the last rays of sunshine with a glass of wine. You only occupy the lower floor, everything is on the ground floor. The infrared cabin is located in the former stable. Wellness in the stable, so to speak - with a wooden lounger so that you can go in twice. Two bathrobes are in the closet. Guest access The apartment is on the ground floor. There is a living room (Stube) with a sofa bed that converts into a box spring bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything. There is also a vaulted cellar! Let yourself be surprised! If you plan to travel with a group (family with several generations or with friends), it makes sense to book the knight's room and the farmer's room. Then up to 8 people can spread over both houses and share the large seating area in the courtyard, as well as the large kitchen in the knight's room. 2 cots are available for small children. Other things to note You couldn't live healthier: natural materials such as quarry stone and clay walls, wooden beams, wooden floorboards or tiles, which we have removed from a disgusting covering, but have retained all their worn charm. Comfortable seating furniture with a subtle light invite you to browse or watch TV. The house may be on a street, but the newly installed insulation ensures quiet, as do the blacked-out, noise-reducing curtains. When the sun is shining, the light falls into the living room and sets accents on the walls, which tell their very own story with all the different materials. You will of course find explanations about this in the house. A special highlight is the vaulted cellar, which invites you to play and have a romantic conversation by the open fire and maybe a beer. We are known in the Eifel for our beer! (Bitburger or e.g. Mendiger Vulkanhausbier). But of course you can also enjoy a glass of wine if you prefer. After all, Ulmen belongs to the district of Cochem-Zell on the Moselle. We put a lot of effort into the kitchen and the bathroom. The aim was to combine old with comfort and modernity.
