Home in London
Description
Nestled in the Blackfriars community is my forest oasis cottage in the city! Built in 1860 this heritage cottage and garden is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. You can walk 20 minutes downstream along the rivers edge to downtown for cafes and the Saturday market, and a 25 minute walk upstream is the University of Western Ontario. I truly hope you'll enjoy staying here as much as I do. The space The house is a classis Ontario Cottage, a brick single story house designed to be wood heated and provide all the necessities for a family to thrive. Built in 1860, it's older than Canada, and it's charm shines through. In the garden you'll find a wonderful mix of hackberry, raspberries, some maples, a real menagerie of plants. There is a pergola which is spectacular for dinner and of course a BBQ! The Wi-Fi also extends around the entire garden if you like working outside. The kitchen on the back has a well appointed collection of utensils as well as a gas oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and a reverse osmosis water filter. The washer/dryer are also there so it's easy to do laundry. Attached to the kitchen is the dining room, where I usually work from my laptop in the day. The front of the house is a large living room with the two bedrooms on the other side. Guest access I've got a lockbox for backup but the door has a combination lock. You've got access to 1/2 acre of Paradise in the back yard. Plus, because the property backs onto the river and bike path you can go on endless gorgeous walks. There is parking for two cars behind the house and right by the back door (kitchen entrance). Registration details 20220005
