Claremont Studio 5 mins to Colleges | Non-Smokers

Our private Cedar Nest is a detached modern garden studio that sits at the rear of our lot in the foothills area of Claremont. We are close to hiking, about a 5 minute drive from the Village and Claremont Colleges (Pitzer College, Pomona College, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna College, and Harvey Mudd College). Easy access to the 210 freeway and a nice place to unwind after a day exploring Claremont and surrounding areas. The space Welcome to our newly-renovated cozy studio. The compact studio space is well-utilized with many amenities. Even at its 250sf, the space is well planned and feels open. SLEEPING AREA A queen bed with an organic latex mattress and 100% organic cotton bedding. There is storage underneath with slide-out drawers. LIVING AREA There is a small loveseat and coffee table that lifts to a comfortable dining or working height. KITCHEN AREA The compact kitchen area is well-appointed and features a fridge, sink, hot water kettle, coffee maker, pour over coffee equipment, microwave, toaster oven, and a 2-burner mini induction stove. BATHROOM A full-height shower (no tub). ECO VIBE Our place is free of artificial scents, scented air fresheners, and other toxic chemicals. PATIO Enjoy the outdoor deck with a morning coffee or evening glass of wine, shaded by an adjustable pergola. Cozy up in the comfy chairs with throw blankets. CLIMATE CONTROL Adjust the temperature using the efficient and quiet mini-split heating/AC system remote. There is *No TV* but strong WiFi allows streaming to your own devices and apps. PARKING Private and secure gated parking for one car. Guest access The Cedar Nest studio is fully detached from the main house, privately situated behind our other guesthouse. Guests enter through a *separate* driveway with secure automated gate at the rear of the property. Other things to note • We are on a main road that goes up to Mt. Baldy. Sometimes you may need to back out from the driveway onto the street. • We (your hosts) live in the main house on the property and are available if you need anything • There is also another guesthouse on the property, but it is sectioned off by a fence and driveway and you will have your own separate patio areas. • The shower is on a greywater system, so it waters a cedar tree. We provide biodegradable soaps for your use in the shower. • The pool and pool area is shared with our other guesthouse and our family, though we mostly don't use it when guests are here. (Pool is unheated and warm roughly late June-October, depending on weather). • The hot tub is not a listed amenity and is not regularly maintained. • There is no TV. • We try to cater to people who are interested in a clean air, smoke & allergen-free property. We have a STRICT NO SMOKING POLICY ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY. If anyone in your group is a smoker, another place would be a better match.
