A fabulous base for family & friends to relax and enjoy the Hawkes Bay region. Bluff Hill is set on the well known area known locally as "The Hill" in Napier city, Rainbow Gate Cottage with is private driveway and parking (very rare commodity on "The Hill") is away from the bustle of the Napier centre but is still only a 10 minute stroll away to so much that Napier has to offer. Rainbow Gate is owned by & welcome the LGBTQIA+ family. Bookings from over 25yr olds, ID required. No matter what the season you'll be so comfortable at the cottage, whether it be a night by the cozy log fire watching a movie or a hot summers evening out on the covered deck, chilled wine in hand playing petanque with friends. Ive tried to make the cottage as comfortable as I would want when I go away to a holiday home, I hope youll find it as relaxing as I do there and enjoy hearing the beautiful Tui songs from the birds who live in the trees at the back of the cottage. I knew as soon as I saw the cottage it had a special feeling and I hope you feel it too. Rainbow Gate is owned by and welcomes everyone from the LGBTQIA+family. No smoking, vaping or drug use is allowed here. Ive lived in Hawkes Bay for nearly 20 years having moved to New Zealand from the UK. The food, wine and tourism over the last few years has made Hawkes Bay develop into one of the the most desired locations in New Zealand to both holiday and live, I cant see myself moving from here. Theres nothing better than relaxing with a glass of local wine, taking in the sunshine and letting the day pass you by. As a member of the rainbow community its my desire to make everyone, without exception, feel welcome and totally at home at the cottage. If there is anything at all that I can do to make your stay more enjoyable, comfortable or special you need only to ask. Leave the car at the cottage and take the short 10 minute stroll either turning left out of the cottage into Napier centre & take in the Art Deco setting, swim & relax in the hot pools at Ocean Spa or turning right to Ahuriri with the swimming beach, childrens playground, cafes, bars and restaurants, The Globe boutique movie theatre or watch the sunset with fish and chips before strolling back to the cottage. Need an ice cream, fish & chips or a new hair doo? The friendly local dairy is on the corner a 30 second walk away, the other corner is a great fish and chip shop and a hairdressers is opposite the dairy. I could be so bold as to say its the perfect location for a holiday cottage but I could be a little biased! Guest access I will meet you at the cottage with your keys. Check in details will be sent via the app the day before your arrival. Photo ID will be required upon arrival. You will have the whole house and gardens all to yourselves. Other things to note The driveway is a little steep and narrow so just take a bit of care as you back out on to the road looking out for cars or pedestrians. Strictly no smoking, vaping or drug use is allowed here.
