For a truly magical romantic sight, plan your stay to coincide with the full moon-rise over Mount Sugarloaf. It’s breathtaking ! Set on five acres, Oaklands boasts a dam, a frog pond, and the most stunning sunsets where the sky lights up with fluffy pink clouds. The full moon-rise over Mount Sugarloaf is a truly magical sight. While away the hours overlooking the theatre of wildlife from the patio enjoying a glass of wine. Take a stroll around the vast and breathtaking grounds that lead you to a very special circle of oak trees and a dam. On a cool night, choose a book from the library room and curl up in front of the cozy fire. Guest access Ground floor access to the property and garden. Please enjoy the garden however respect the wildlife. Dogs on a leash are really appreciated Other things to note Nearby Our local cafe, Hartley Fresh is a five-minute drive away, and offers a hearty full breakfast; and good coffee to set you up for the day of bush walks in the Blue Mountains. Lithgow is the local town located 15 minutes North West where you will find most amenities and shops for your needs. Blackheath is 20 minutes South East. It has several antique shops to browse and coffee shops to enjoy and of course many lookouts over the Blue Mountains including our favorite, Govetts Leap Lookout. Katoomba, with all its history, beauty, and attractions is a scenic 25-minute drive from us at Oaklands. Oaklands is also a great base from which to explore the central west towns of Bathhurst, Orange, or Mudgee or to visit the beautiful Mayfield Gardens or Jenolan Caves.
