Lithgow is the local town located 15 minutes North West where you will find most amenities and shops for your needs. Blackheath is 20 minutes South East. It has several antique shops to browse and coffee shops to enjoy and of course many lookouts over the Blue Mountains including our favorite, Govetts Leap Lookout. Katoomba, with all its history, beauty, and attractions is a scenic 25-minute drive from us at Oaklands. Oaklands is also a great base from which to explore the central west towns of Bathhurst, Orange, or Mudgee or to visit the beautiful Mayfield Gardens or Jenolan Caves.
