Description

You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place with full Mt Karioi views from the deck & an easy walk to town. A 1 minute stroll down our quiet street and you will be in the back of beautiful Raglan Harbour. From here at full tide you can launch your complimentary paddleboards or kayaks & explore all the harbour has to offer. Take a nice walk around Rangitahi Pennisula with great views, or walk up the main road to Rock-it Cafe, or drive 5 minutes to Ngarunui Surf Beach. The space BEDROOM: Our guests sleep in our cute and comfortable Alpha Colonial 1970 Retro Caravan measuring approx 4.5m x 2.1m. The caravan does not have running water, but it does have power, lights, bench space, a small wardrobe, cupboards, a queen bed at one end and a long 3/4 double bed at the other end. BED FIRMNESS - Beds are Medium-Firm, the Queen bed has a Cluster Puff Mattress Topper. Complimentary products are available to use in the Caravan including Sunscreen, bug spray, body lotion, lavender sleep spray etc (please leave for other guests). A small heater and hot water bottles if needed. In the winter months we provide flannelette sheets if you request these. From the caravan you will step out onto a large covered front deck, with a gorgeous full view of Mt Karioi, then a few steps leads to our kitchen/dining and bathroom/separate toilet, and covered lounge/bar area. Off the kitchen/dining is our covered lounge/bar area with lounge furniture, a bar, Television, and another shower. This is partly an open air space with a garden down one end, but it is completely weatherproof with a permanent roof. KITCHEN: Our kitchen is fully functional with all utensils, pots etc plus fridge/freezer, microwave, good quality Breville Espresso coffee machine with complimentary Raglan Roast coffee beans. Plus a milk shake maker, soda stream and smoothie blender. We also have a full dishwasher. BATHROOM: We have fantastic water pressure in both showers, we have a fan heater in the main bathroom so you won't be cold! We supply shampoo/conditioner, body wash, a lovely NZ brand of unisex face wash, plus toothpaste, hand soap, toilet rolls, towels and flannels. We also have a washing machine you are welcome to use. NB: In the Autumn/Wiinter months as this is an open air space in our outdoor lounge/bar area, it can get cold, but we have a Radient heater, basket of wool blankets. There is heaps of parking, so you won't need to park on the road, the full section is 840sqm, is fully fenced and has large wooden gates at the front. Guest access You will have full access to the large covered deck you step out onto from the caravan with full mountain views, comfy furniture, day bed etc. Plus kitchen/dining, bathroom/toilet, and back entertainment area with bar and 2nd shower. We do not live onsite, the 2nd small caravan and large shed are used by us when we are there. I will meet you when you arrive and show you around and leave you to enjoy our little slice of paradise, we do not stay onsite when we have guests. Other things to note Continental breakfast is included. A selection of cereals, tinned fruit and seasonal fruit. Yoghurt, toast and spreads. Juice, plus Bell tea, herbal tea's, hot chocolate and milo is also available. Please let me know what milk you require - trim or standard, and white/wholemeal or seeded bread. We have a TV in the bar area, and have standard Freeview TV Channels. We have available 2 paddleboards and 2 kayaks, please let us know prior to your stay if you require these. Usage times are very tide dependent down the end of the street in the Harbour, so it pays to check the tides prior to coming. We can also supply life jackets. When used please wash these off well with the hose down the front of the property to get the salt off, as it will damage them, especially the paddleboards. Keep them up the top at night by the clothesline or ideally out of sight from the road. Our water is metered at Raglan, so we pay for what we use, and your hot water is heated by a gas bottle in the second shower, please be mindful of this and conserve water as best you can - thank you.
