This bright, spacious, meticulously updated and maintained cottage is stunning. Located right beside Butley Priory, the cottage is perfect for all seasons. With large windows providing pretty views throughout, it's a memorable option for those seeking a romantic getaway or small family break. The bright, cosy sitting room benefits from an open log fire, generous and comfortable seating, smart television and a wide selection of books to enjoy. The open plan kitchen/dining room has everything you'll need to enjoy meals in, with seating for up to six, plus an armchair. The kitchen comprises a Smeg fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine in addition to all the necessary items. To the first floor are a super-king (or twin option) with en-suite bathroom, and a king bedroom with en-suite shower room. Guests are reluctant to leave the tranquillity of the Priory, and have full use of the private garden, thatched summer house and tennis court throughout their stay. There is plenty to do and explore further afield: The Suffolk Punch Centre, Sutton Hoo, riding in Rendlesham forest, Orford and Framlingham castles, Martello Towers, golf at Woodbridge and Aldeburgh and sailing along the coast, to name but a few. There are wonderful walks (we provide a walking and biking map) cycling to Orford via Butley Creek, where the foot ferry takes you across the river. The market towns of Woodbridge, Orford and Aldeburgh are a short drive away and offer a selection of excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes, and shops. An area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Suffolk Coast has a wide array of sandy and shingle beaches, and several nature reserves. Three further properties available to book in the grounds of the Priory; Paddy's Cottage (sleeps 4 guest), Butley Priory (sleeps 11 guests), and Butley Priory Farmhouse (sleeps 24 guests), or lower occupancy Butley Priory Farmhouse (sleeps 12 guests). Additional Information: One well-behaved dog welcome (small additional charge applies). A refundable £300 security deposit is applied when booking this property. The fires upstairs can not be lit. High chair available on request. An EV charger is available with payment through a downloadable app. There is external CCTV at this property for security. Guests have full use of the South Garden, thatched summer house and tennis court throughout your stay. There is a large pond approximately 120 metres in the woodland from the house – please ensure children are supervised when outdoors.
