Discounts are available for longer stays. The room is a new addition to the home (finished Aug 2021) built with guest privacy in mind. Our household is a calm, peaceful environment perfect for short-term renters like a travel nurse, student, business consultant, etc. It is a quiet neighborhood in a very convenient location: close to shopping and restaurants yet with a more remote feel. The space You will have the new, private bedroom with en-suite bathroom and walk-in closet all to yourself. The kitchenette, dinette and family room are also completely dedicated to guest use. The downstairs laundry room is only used by one person one day a week, and we can work that around your preferred days. You are more than welcome to come up and cook in the full kitchen and share any of the upstairs common spaces. Guest access Your room is on the ground level (no stairs) along with a family room, laundry, dinette and kitchenette: small sink, mini refrigerator / freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker (your choice of standard or Keurig) and cabinet / shelf space. The main kitchen, dining and living room are upstairs (14 stairs). During your stay -We are a quiet couple with an adult student already living in one of the existing spare bedrooms. You are welcome to interact with us as much or as little as you like. Giving you your private space is an absolute priority, but we do enjoy conversation and will always let you know when there’s a meal to share. -Your family room, dinette and kitchenette are very removed from the main household flow. They are in an “open concept” layout (so not the “behind-closed-doors” kind of private), but they are not used by anyone else and we don’t pass through as we come and go. (I took a picture from the garage entry door to give you some idea what that looks like. From that spot we head upstairs when we come in, so it’s hardly more than the occasional glimpse in passing.) Other things to note -We are open to discussion about any guests you might like to have stay with you. There is a twin size air mattress with bedding available that does fit in the bedroom, or could be used in the family room area. The couch is also very comfy :) -Please feel free to ask if you need to alter / extend your reservation. We often block nights surrounding a booking just to ensure that we have enough “turn-around” time, and that we are available for new guest check-in. (We want to ensure that the space is as perfectly prepared for each guest as we can possibly make it.) So if you want to make any changes, but it looks like the room is not available, just send us a message explaining your needs and we will do everything we can to accommodate!
