The space Make this Pawtuckaway guest house your relaxing get-away..... as well as your restorative fun-filled, rejuvenating retreat!” This serenity getaway is uniquely close to the waterfront as the water is just steps from the deck. Plenty of parking. Come up on the deck and enter your own abode on the left. Walk into an adorable living area with sliding glass doors overlooking the water. Off the living room are two bedrooms - one with a queen and one with two twins. There is a bathroom with a shower, and a small kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishware, pots and pans, glassware, cooking utensils, etc. Retreat up the ladder to your meditation space above in the large and sunny loft area. A great space for yoga, writing, meditation, or time alone. Though the apartment does not have air conditioning it is generally unnecessary as we are right on the water, in the cool northeast. There is a large ceiling fan that provides ample airflow. There are also individual fans for the bedrooms. Being lakeside can re-awaken you to the simple life and provide you with the extraordinary gifts of peace and awe as you surround yourself with century-old trees, the soothing sounds of rippling water, and the daily myriad of birds calling for your attention! Pawtuckaway Lake is a 784-acre reservoir in Rockingham County in southeastern New Hampshire. The house looks across the lake at the quiet end of Pawtuckaway State Park, which includes many hiking trails where you can see bird species including loons, egrets, blue heron, owls, and ducks. You may come upon an amazing of beaver dams. From the house you can swim, kayak, canoe, hike, pick blueberries from your boat, and paddleboard in summer, or skate, snowshoe, and x-country ski in winter. Fish year-round! Such a quiet spot, but only an hour from Boston; less than 45 minutes from the ocean; and less than 2 hours from the White Mountains. Guest access The final part of your journey will be on a dirt road. Keep your eye on the house numbers as you bare right several times until you come to our two house numbers. You'll come up to the ample parking area and find two houses connected by a wrap around deck. the host lives in the right hand house and you will be staying in the left hand house. The host may welcome you with a friendly wave or just give you space to yourself. The large beach on the left might be shared, but you will be alone on the small beaches to the left. Lots of boats and kayaks to enjoy too. Other things to note Guests may bring their own kayaks, canoes or paddle boards. When available - the owners boats and life jackets are available for use with the understanding that all liability rests with the guests. There are also several private boat rental options within a 10 min drive from this property!
