Aquila Eco Retreat promises an off-grid experience that doesn’t skimp on the necessities: lush linens, wood heaters, raw timber furnishings and kitchen mod-cons, in the total seclusion of a deluxe Eco Pod or Glamping Tent. Set amongst Coal River Valley wine country with breathtaking countryside views, you’re invited to indulge body, mind and soul. Created with both sustainability and calm comfort in mind, Aquila is your permission slip to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect. The space Truly one of its kind, the Glamping Tent epitomises romance, luxury and style. A king-sized bed rests against a Huon Pine backdrop and brings the outdoors in, with morning coffee views out to rural idylls and sandstone cliffs. Step onto your private deck and into a refurbished Victorian-era clawfoot bath, where bubbles belong in the tub and in your glass. Mood lighting, a fully accessible ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and wood heater add to the simple but decadent pleasures of a grown-up glamping experience. Guest access Guests may use the communal guest area, 'Flame Space' at any time except if a private booking has been made for a hot-cold therapy treatment in the sauna. Hot-cold therapy treatments are $50 for an hour and can be arranged through Aquila staff. 'Flame Space' includes shelter, Barbeque and BBQ utensils, fire pit, bench seating, sauna and outdoor bucket shower. Guests are invited to take a stroll around and picnic in the glamping grounds. Walk through our picturesque vineyard and breathe in the fresh, clean air as you soak up the beauty of your surroundings. Along the way, drop in on the talking Aquila parrots, which add an extra touch of quirky wonder to our already breathtaking landscape. You might get a cheeky wolf whistle or a hello! As you explore the grounds, admire the amazing sculptures crafted by renowned Tasmanian sculptors.
