The space The holiday home, built on the original extensive grounds of a manor house, is part of a picturesque setting. In addition to the holiday home, there are also several other dwellings and holiday homes that have been built over time. The manor house itself has been preserved to this day and still attracts admiring glances. The location of the holiday home is particularly attractive, as Lake Schwerin is only a few minutes' walk away. Lake Schwerin is one of the largest lakes in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and offers numerous recreational opportunities such as boating, fishing and water sports. Flessenow, the village where the holiday home is located, is a quiet place with no through traffic. This quiet location contributes to the guests' rest and relaxation. One can enjoy nature, go for long walks or simply enjoy the silence and the beauty of the surroundings. Guest access The entire holiday home and the area around it can be used in full. As the driveway to the holiday home also leads to the family home, we ask you to be considerate accordingly. However, sufficient space is provided. Other things to note On site, we offer you our rowing boat for a small fee. This gives you the opportunity to explore the Schwerin Outer Lake from its most beautiful side. You can paddle on the lake, admire the surrounding landscape and maybe even take a break at some idyllic places. The surroundings If you want to explore the surrounding area, you can visit the beautiful state capital Schwerin in just a few minutes by car. Schwerin is famous for its impressive castle, which is located on an island in Lake Schwerin. There you can explore the historic old town, visit museums or take a boat trip on the lake. Another interesting city nearby is Wismar, a historic Hanseatic city. There you can admire the well-preserved medieval buildings, stroll through the picturesque alleys and visit the harbour. Wismar is also known for its brick Gothic architecture and UNESCO World Heritage status. Rostock is a Hanseatic city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is located on the Baltic Sea coast and is known for its historic city centre and the largest German Baltic Sea port. There are many places worth seeing in Rostock, such as the Neuer Markt with the town hall, St. Mary's Church and the University of Rostock. Rostock's old town has a charming atmosphere with well-preserved buildings from the Hanseatic era. Lübeck is also a Hanseatic city and is located in Schleswig-Holstein, near the Baltic Sea. The city is best known for its medieval old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lübeck's landmark is the Holsten Gate, an imposing city gate dating from the 15th century. Other sights include Lübeck Cathedral, the town hall and the Buddenbrookhaus, dedicated to the writer Thomas Mann. If you like to go to the beach, you can reach the popular village of Zierow, which lies on the Baltic Sea, in about 30 minutes by car. There you can enjoy the sun, swim in the sea or walk along the coast. Zierow offers a beautiful stretch of beach and is a popular destination for those seeking relaxation. In Flessenow itself, there is a small shopping facility at the campsite, which is open from Easter until the end of September. There you will find the essentials for your stay or you can get fresh bread rolls in the morning. There is another small shop in the neighbouring village of Retgendorf.
