Comfy 1 Riverside Mekong Ben Tre homestay

Description

A cozy, riverside Comfy room sits by the Mekong River, ideally for anyone seeking a homely space to unwind while enjoying the natural beauty and culture life of Ben Tre. The space COMFY ROOM: * On the 1st floor * A private bedroom 23m2 for 2 pax * A riverside front yard (shared area) * Bathroom (comfy 1) * One more shower room in the living room * Shared kitchen and living room (+27m2) with other guests & hosts 1. We are a true homestay — NOT a resort, hotel, or luxury retreat. We originally built this house for our own living, and later decided to open it for guests. We live here too, and we simply share our spare rooms with you. Because of that, our home may not be 100% perfect: the entrance road, garden, and some nearby construction are still in progress, and we’re working hard to improve them. Through our hospitality, we’ll do our best to make you feel comfortable, and we hope you enjoy your stay. Guest access 2. CHECK-IN is 14:00 and CHECK-OUT is 11:00. Mrs. Hai & Mrs. Huyen are our staff, they work here as chefs, house supervisors and house cleaners, and they return home when they finish their works. They will welcome you and communicate with you by translation app, and I'll support you online at any time you need (sometimes I stay at the 1st floor so I could accommodate you too). 3. FREE USE of bicycles, kitchen tools; and free services like laundry, changing bed linen, towels, and garbage can be done upon request. If you want to RENT A SCOOTER, it costs 200.000vnd/ day (including gas for 15km ride) 4. TRANSFER: - From HCM city - homestay (2.5hrs drive): * 4-seat taxi for 1,200,000VND/ way * 7-seat taxi for 1,500,000VND/ way - From other cities - homestay: We’ll let you know the price - If you book your own taxi, we will send you the location and guidance - You can also catch public bus, we made a detailed blog on this 5. MEALS: The food here is fresh, delicious, authentic, and worth trying. We can accommodate dietary preferences, including vegan, gluten-free, and allergic options. Please ORDER MEALS AT LEAST 1 DAY IN ADVANCE to allow time for shopping and preparation. * Breakfast is included (we will give you the menu the night before) * Light lunch (noodle/ fried rice) is 120.000VND/ pax * Lunch full meal is 220.000VND/ pax DINNER: Start latest 7:30pm * Dinner full meal is 250.000VND/ pax * Dinner BBQ is 370.000VND/ pax You can also dine in at other restaurants. But please notice that most of them are located in the city center, about 6–7 km from our homestay. Booking a taxi from here may take around 30 minutes if we help arrange it. If you try to book a taxi or Grab on your own, it may be difficult or unavailable due to the outskirt location. 6. PAYMENT: We accept cash/ credit card (+3% card surcharge fee) / Vietnamese bank transfers. 7. Our home is PET-FRIENDLY, but please clean up after your pets and take care of them during your stay. We also have some cats and a dog, they are very friendly. 8. Though we don't have TV nor encourage noisy party, but sometimes our neighborhood sing KARAOKE, this is an unavoidable part of the Mekong culture. Don't worry though, they usually stop latest by 10pm, so you’ll have a peaceful night's sleep. 9. At home you'll find: - DRINKING WATER from the small tap in the kitchen is clean, safe, filtered and drinkable for free. - MINIBAR Menu: self-service (Please message us the number of drinks or snacks you had taken from this menu so I can add on to the final bill) - ADD-ON Menu: you order us, we serve 10. The ENTRANCE ROAD of our homestay is a bit muddy for 50 meters, we are working diligently on completing it, but don’t worry, it is still accessible by foot, scooters, and taxi. We are willing to help carry luggages and drive you by scooters if needed. We sincerely sorry for this inconvenience, hopefully it won’t affect much to your stay here. 11. Mekong Delta is a very HUMID area. We are diligently trying to keep our house clean and airy. We provide mosquito nets, repellents, and incense cones if you need. 12. What to do while staying here? Besides riding bicycles, relaxing in hammocks, or simply unwinding at our homestay, we also suggest trying some local-based activities organized by us: Mekong Zig Zag tours: Is our family-run business offering the most authentic possible tours in Ben Tre. We’re very different from typical Mekong tours — no tourist traps, no pressure to buy souvenirs, no staged performances, and no commercial stops. ACTIVITIES: ⛵ Scooter/ Tuktuk rides ⛵ Healthy & best coconut candies ⛵ Mat-weaving house ⛵ Dedicated local Mekong food ⛵ Sailboat trip (with comfy beanbags) on the Mekong river ⛵ Visit local markets, delicious (and clean) street food and more local surprises ahead!!! YOU CAN CHOOSE: * Full-day trip: Our guests’ favorite experience — authentic, relaxing, and full of fun activities in the Mekong Delta. You’ll end the day feeling truly satisfied. * Half-day trip (Morning/Afternoon): Similar itinerary to the full-day trip, but a bit more rushed since everything is fit into a shorter timeframe. * Cooking class (explore & buy food at local markets, and cook at a local house). * 1.5Hrs relaxing Sailboat trip (Morning/Afternoon) Before check-in, may I ask: – What transportation will you use to arrive? (We can arrange a private car if needed.) – Your estimated arrival time? – Would you like to order lunch or dinner, and do you have any dietary restrictions? 🏡 Taxi and meal payments can be settled at check-out. I know this is a lot of information, but it is better to know and expect beforehand 🙏 Overall, I hope you'll enjoy your stay here. Feel free to leave us a message if you have any questions. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon! During your stay You could text us via watsapp or on the airbnb app Other things to note Before you arrive, we’d love to share a few honest notes so you know what to expect. We are a real homestay — not a resort or hotel. This is our family house in a small riverside village: simple, idyllic, and very local. We live here too and simply share our spare rooms with guests. Because of that, our home may not be 100% perfect — the entrance road, garden, and some nearby construction are still in progress, and we’re working hard every day to improve them. Since we’re part of a real community, you may hear everyday village sounds: occasional construction from kind neighbors (they avoid early hours), occasional loud karaoke around the neighborhood (this is a big unavoidable Mekong culture, they usually stop latest by 10pm, so you’ll have a peaceful night's sleep), or a few engine boats passing by the river. Some days are quiet; other days can be a bit more lively. If you’re looking for a completely silent, private nature retreat, we may not be the best fit. Most guests enjoy the authenticity, nature, and homey atmosphere here, but we understand some prefer more luxury and quietness. If you feel this isn’t right for you, we welcome you to find another accommodation. If you choose to stay and are open to blending in with the local culture, we believe you’ll truly enjoy our clean, comfortable room, the beautiful river view, and the real home-cooked meals we prepare for you. Through our hospitality, we’ll do our best to make you feel comfortable, and we truly hope you enjoy your stay with us. Warmly,
