Take in stunning lake views from the massive deck built right over the lake. Enjoy kayaking and swimming off your private dock. Take a day trip to Bar Harbor or Acadia, then come home & stargaze by the fire pit while you listen to the Loons. Many features are brand new, offering modern comforts while preserving the rustic charm of the cabin. The space This secluded lake offers a truly peaceful escape- you will sense the tranquility as soon as you begin your drive down the private road. Unlike busy lakes filled with restaurants and bars, this is a quiet haven where you can unwind, making lasting memories. A car is necessary to reach the area. Motorboats and jet skis are welcome on the lake, and there are also ATV and snowmobile trails nearby for added adventure. 2025 updates: **The huge deck over the lake has been rebuilt in composite decking and is complemented with new Polywood outdoor furniture. We also replaced the countertops with quartz, put in a propane stove with a cooktop, added a washer and dryer. The house also has well water now. You may see comments from past guests that mentioned the house runs off of Lake water, but that has been updated as well in 2025.** Additional Features: All season porch to enjoy the beautiful lake views, rain or shine 2 queen bedrooms and one pull-out sofa One bathroom with a toilet and sink, and a separate shower room that now also contains a washer and dryer Multiple dining areas with beautiful lake views, including a kitchen table, a table on the porch, and a picnic table on the lawn. Other things to note This place is very special to my husband and I. We purchased it in 2021 from local neighbors. As their families grew older, it became harder for them to come up and stay here, and this lovely camp was barely used. We updated the house with new furniture and appliances and kept everything original that was in good condition (for instance, the previous owners handmade all the cabinets). Our intent was is to bring people together and experience Maine the way it should be at an affordable price point. We put a lot of love into Reel Simple and hope it gives lots of love back in the form of memories to enjoy for a lifetime. Each year, we add something special to the house. 2025 is our biggest upgrade yet, with brand-new hardwood floors, a composite deck, new countertops and a gas stove. We hope you love it as much as we do. There may be a drawer with clothes in them; we keep a small stash of clothes here for when we use the home for personal use too, but there is ample space for your items.
