Surla Houseboat with tender

The Surla Houseboat in Monnickendam. Our houseboats are fully equipped, 100% ecological (dry toilet) and self-sufficient. Luxury, comfort and respect for nature come together. We would like to welcome you on our Surla houseboat to create beautiful memories with this unique experience. In the summer, Surla takes responsibility for mooring the houseboat on open water. (weather dependent and no rights can be derived from it). The space There is a modern, spacious living room with a sofa, dining table, TV and sliding doors to the front terrace with BBQ. You have access to a dinghy. The open kitchen is fully equipped with an induction hob, refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, kettle and Nespresso machine. There is also a table freezer in the utility room. The bathroom has a shower, sink and a (dry) toilet. There are 3 bedrooms on the houseboat. Two bedrooms with hotel beds (1.80 x 2.00 m), specially designed for Surla Houseboats. The third bedroom has a bunk bed (0.90 x 2.00 m). Via an external staircase you can reach the spacious roof terrace where there is a lounge set where you can enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Last but not least: on the back terrace there is a warm outdoor shower, wonderful after a swim. Guest access Guests have the entire houseboat to themselves. We do not allow our guests to sail the Surla houseboat themselves, but a dinghy is included in the rental price (not petrol). Sail the dinghy at a walking pace and without alcohol, we are guests on the water. Any fines are at your own expense. No bachelor parties allowed. Other things to note Houseboat location: You can park your car in the marina of Monnickendam (free parking). In the summer (weather permitting) Surla moors the houseboat in a beautiful spot/location on the lake. A dinghy is included in the rental price. With the dinghy you can sail to and from the houseboat. Our host will guide you through this the first time. The houseboat stays in place by means of spud poles. (Please do not touch these) In bad weather conditions, the host of Surla will place the houseboat in a sheltered spot in the marina of Monnickendam. This can also happen during your rental period, because we do not want to take any risks. Surla Tender (dinghy): During your stay we provide a dinghy. This aluminum tender is included in the rental of the houseboat (you pay extra for gasoline). It is important that you start with the accelerator in Neutral. Do you want to lock the tender when you are not using it? Also at night? Sail slowly! Place the tender on the side of the houseboat. Slow down so that no damage is caused to the houseboat or tender. Always put protection (fender) between them. We will charge for any damage immediately. Upon arrival, the tender is completely filled with petrol. The request is to fill it up again before checking out (Petrol 98), so that the next guests also have a full tank. You can buy petrol at the Texaco in the village or you can buy a jerry can from our host Natasja. You can also put the amount on the table in cash: 45 euros for an empty tank and 25 euros for a half tank. If the tender has not been filled up and no money has been left on departure, we will charge the costs afterwards. NOTE: Surla rents out several houseboats at different locations. The floor plan of the houseboat and the interior in the photos may differ from the actual houseboat. All our houseboats were built in 2022-2023. Swimming certificates are strongly recommended. We will not recommend the houseboat for people who are not very mobile. The houseboat is not for sailing yourself. We want to point out that you are in nature and that spiders/mosquitoes are also there. We filter the water from the lake and that is why it is fresh water and not drinking water. For the first day we give you 1 pack of drinking water.
