WILDLIFE This is a natural mountain setting near Yosemite, and wildlife regularly passes through the area. Guests may see deer, rabbits, squirrels, and birds, and occasionally coyotes. Larger wildlife such as bears or bobcats are rare and typically avoid people. THE RIVER The Chowchilla River is seasonal and typically flows from fall through early summer, depending on rainfall and snowpack. In drier years, flow may be shorter.
