Lovingly restored and thoughtfully renovated, Hÿgge Haus offers the perfect space to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with those who matter most. Lovingly restored from the original Chestnut beams, this 4-bedroom, 3-bath home blends timeless craftsmanship with modern comfort. From soaring cathedral ceilings clad in local Hemlock to solid oak-trimmed windows, every detail reflects thoughtful design and an appreciation for mountain living. Set in one of the most walkable villages in the Catskills, Hÿgge Haus offers the best of both worlds—peaceful privacy and convenient access to shops, cafés, and groceries, all just a short stroll from your front door. Enjoy sunny days on the front porch listening to the creek trickling nearby, evenings playing lawn games, and meals under the stars on the back deck. Bald eagles are known to soar overhead, and the mountain sunsets from the upstairs balcony are the perfect backdrop for winding down with a drink. Inside, there’s space for everyone—gather in the cozy living room, cook up summer feasts in the well-equipped kitchen, or sneak away to the private upstairs suite. Fast, reliable WiFi and great cell service make it easy to stay connected (if you want to!). Whether you're catching up with friends, relaxing with family, or exploring nearby hiking trails, swimming holes, and local festivals, Hÿgge Haus is your four-season home base—full of comfort, connection, and Catskills charm. Layout at a Glance: The Layout Main Floor: Features a welcoming enclosed front porch, a cozy living room with a wood stove, dining room, dedicated office, and a fully stocked kitchen. There's also a full bathroom and one bedroom on this level, which includes an open closet, dresser, and TV. From the kitchen, step out onto a partially covered back deck—perfect for outdoor dining or lounging in any weather. Second Floor: At the end of a private hallway, the primary suite offers comfort and privacy with a king bed, walk-in closet, and an en suite bathroom featuring a soaking tub and separate shower. Two additional bedrooms share a full bathroom. All upstairs bedrooms include walk-in closets, nightstands, and dressers. Enjoy fresh mountain air from the covered balcony just outside. Basement: Includes washer and dryer for guest use. Please note: the basement is not intended for use beyond laundry. Outdoor Areas: Enjoy ample off-street parking, a charming front walkway, lawn space for relaxing or games, a fire pit, BBQ grill, outdoor seating, and stunning views of the Catskill Mountains sky, especially at sunset. Guest access Guests have access to all areas except: - The basement other than the laundry area - The garage except the ski room Other things to note Before You Book – Please Read We want your stay to be smooth, relaxing, and memorable! To help make that happen, please review the following guidelines and policies before booking: Noise & Neighbors We have wonderful neighbors—let’s keep it that way! Please observe quiet hours after 9PM, especially when enjoying the outdoor areas. Smoking & Vaping No smoking or vaping indoors or outdoors on the property. If you must smoke, please do so inside your vehicle. A $500 fine will apply for any indoor smoking. Pets Sorry, no dogs or cats allowed. We love them too—but this home is pet-free. Guests & Gatherings The number of guests must match your reservation. No parties or events allowed. Daytime visitors must be approved in advance. TV Access There is one TV in the first-floor bedroom. Please note, there is no TV in the living room—we hope you enjoy disconnecting and soaking in the peaceful surroundings! Security & Safety Ring cameras with audio are installed at the front and back doors for your safety. Cameras are positioned to cover only entry points—not outdoor seating areas. Cameras remain on during your stay. Winter Travel Advisory (Oct–Apr) Delaware County is a mountainous, rural area, and winter weather can be unpredictable. For safe travel: We strongly recommend AWD, FWD, or 4WD vehicles Vehicles should have winter or all-season tires with solid tread 2WD and RWD vehicles are not recommended in snow or rain The driveway is plowed and shoveled to the door, and we provide a shovel so you can maintain safe walkways during your stay. Non-Refundable Reservations: Some reservations are non-refundable because the guest selected the discounted non-refundable rate at checkout, or because the booking was made close to the arrival date and falls within Airbnb’s non-refundable window.
