From Hotel Le Germain, book a nice little round-trip train ride along the river to the Massif de la Petite-Rivière-St-François. 45 minutes from the ski slopes of Le Massif, 25 minutes from the alpine and cross-country ski resort of Mont Grand-Fonds and less than 20 minutes from the Les Sources Joyeuses family outdoor center (skating, sliding and cross-country skiing). Put on snowshoes from the house and walk through the surrounding woods and meadows to admire the local nature and the river.
