Welcome to our snug family cabin, nestled off the beaten path among the Ponderosa pines of the White Mountains. Hand-built in 1962 and cherished by 4 generations, this is a place for family time—unplugged, unhurried, and full of simple joys. Guests enjoy visits from elk, deer, squirrels, a variety of birds, as well as fishing & canoeing in nearby lakes and streams. The cabin provides ample sleeping accommodations with 1 bedroom downstairs and a sleeping loft upstairs divided into 2 areas. The space At an elevation of 8,500 feet and surrounded by National Forest, the cabin offers cooler temperatures than the rest of Arizona and space for kids to explore while adults relax. Spend your days hiking nearby trails, fishing the river just a short walk away, or visiting one of several nearby lakes. In the evenings, gather together to share meals, play games, and enjoy the quiet mountain nights. Wildlife is part of the magic here. Visitors often spot elk, deer, turkey, squirrels, and a wide variety of birds right outside the cabin. Bring binoculars and nature books—kids love identifying their visitors. Family fun in every season: • Summer: Cool mountain air, fishing, lakes, and shaded forest walks • Fall: A front-row seat to the elk rut and stunning golden aspen groves from mid-September through October • Winter: Snowy days, cozy nights by the fire, and skiing just 20 minutes away Surrounded by forest, relaxing outdoors is time well spent. Use the propane barbeque for outside cooking and enjoy the fire pit for evening chats, story telling, and roasting marshmallows. Inside our cozy cabin is space for gathering for meals, games, and movie watching from an extensive DVD library. An electric fireplace adds ambiance as well as heat! Only 1.3 miles from the town of Greer, it's easy to grab supplies or enjoy a family meal out while still feeling tucked away in nature.
