The road is a moderate grade and due to the snowy/icy conditions here in Northern NH in the winter, it is advisable to use a 4WD or AWD vehicle during the winter months for safety. If you use a front wheel drive car, consider having snow tires on the car before traveling. During the winters in northern, NH, please make sure you feel comfortable traveling on snowy/icy roads and we would advise not heading off onto unknown back roads where you could potentially lose control of your vehicle and slide off the road and get stuck in a snowbank!! We mostly use AWD vehicles with studded snow tires in the wintertime. If you still feel adventurous and only have a front wheel drive car, you'll be o.k. as long as you don't try climbing mountains!!
