The space Set on a corner lot in a very safe Old Colorado City neighborhood, this ranch-style mid-century home is full of the kind of character guests remember: brick, stacked stone, picture windows, original wood floors, warm gathering spaces, and hand-selected period-appropriate design details that make the house feel personal and distinctive. If you love mid-century modern, the home is furnished with genuine 50s and 60s-era furniture that gives the space its true retro spirit. Morning starts best on the west-facing front patio with coffee, cool air, and the mountains in view. Guests may spot native deer moving through the neighborhood, watch the light change across the Front Range, then head out for Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Canyon, Old Colorado City, Manitou Springs, The Broadmoor, or a full Colorado Springs adventure day. Inside, the home balances retro character with an easy, practical layout for groups. The ranch-style design and main-level living make it especially appealing for families, multigenerational stays, and guests traveling with grandparents or kids. Twin beds and a game console give younger guests their own fun corner of the stay, while the lower level features a wet bar and plenty of seating on two long sofas for movie nights with friends and family. Out back, the lovely covered patio is the home’s signature evening scene. Guests can soak in the private hot tub, grill dinner on the large grill, enjoy the outdoor fireplace when conditions allow, and even watch the patio TV from the hot tub. Guests have private use of the entire home. Cooling is provided by window AC units and fans, not central air. Heating is radiant. Fireplaces may be available for guest enjoyment when conditions and instructions allow. Indoor dining is comfortable, but larger groups may find the outdoor dining and patio areas especially useful in good weather. Wildlife, including native deer, may pass through the neighborhood. Please enjoy from a distance. The neighborhood is elevated, so walks to and from Old Colorado City may include hills. Guests will have self check-in through the lockbox, with arrival details sent before their stay.
